Meh. With the playoff in place now, Bama will always have a spot in the "final four". It will be that much easier for ESPN to put them in, despite losing again in their biggest regular season game.
LSU and their fans HAVE to expect that, if LSU closes the talent gap (and they will the next two years) that for LSU to win the NC, they WILL have to win the SECCG and beat Bama twice. That is going to be the norm.
I do not think LSU can do that. Nor do I think Bama could do it either, but the difference is that if Bama beats LSU in November, LSU won't get the mulligan opportunity in January. Different standards for different programs.

LSU has to win the SECCG to get in the Final Four. LSU is NOT one of those brand programs. Our loses count, and they hurt.
As a fan, that is the way it should be.

Yeah, keep bashing Miles. Right now he's doing exactly what he needs to do in order to get back in this rivalry.
If this clown and his program were in any other division in any other conference, chances are HIGH he would have played for more championships at this point.

I'm wholly convinced LSU will REVERSE THE CURSE on January 9, 2017! I'm looking into my crystal ball and I see an 11-1 regular season, with only a road loss at Arkansas. Tigers beat GEORGIA for the SEC nod, then OKLAHOMA STATE in the Playoff Round, and finally ALABAMA in the Championship in sunny Tampa on 1/9/17.

The curse is Les Miles. You are deluded if you think the next or any year with him will be different from the last. He can't beat Saban again, and that must happen for any kind of title.
