Stanford women just lost to Washington, so LSU will move up to #2. Going to be a long week ahead! Geaux Tigers

Never thought I’d be excited to watch WBB on Super Bowl Sunday but here we are.

Games at 1:00 anyway so will be a good lead in to the big game.

Sadly the polls will probably have Indiana jump LSU.

Doubtful

Even though I do think Indiana is probably a better team than LSU, they are going to set the stage of a 1 vs 2 matchup for TV ratings and to hype up the game

I like it but this probably isn't the year just yet. It's coming though.

Thank you Lady Tigers for choosing LSU women’s Basketball. Thank you coach Mulkey for bringing a winning tradition to LSU. Thank you for working hard on the court and in the classroom. I am so proud of this women’s basketball team.

You gals are fun to watch and grow. No matter the outcome at season’s end, I am happy that Scott Woodward invested in such high level coaching and outstanding women who work hard. To the seniors, thank you for representing Our University with class !

God bless you all ! Love you !

USCe WBB is damn good and LSU doesn't need Poole driving inside, LOL.

That is interesting. 23-0 but zero top 20 wins. So how do you rank a team with that resume ? How many Quad 1 wins ? Quad 2; Quad 3 ? SOS ?

Where should LSU women be ranked at this moment ? Does it really matter until regular season is over ?

Doesn’t LSU women have a NET of 3 ?

It’s tournament season time. Who would have thought that Standford would lose to a mediocre Washington team today? It’s tough to beat conference teams twice in one year.

LSU women had an RPI ranking of 18 going into todays game with A&M. Our SOS was 102nd

NET (not RPI) is what the NCAA uses to seed teams (primarily).

This team is #2 because of their record but they have not played even one top 20 team. For a team coach by Mulkey they have too many silly turnovers.

#1 they play way too fast, overly fast. They seem to struggle when to speed up and when to slow down. A lot of bad turnovers come from forcing the ball into the post.

#2, the team lacks a true PG and the quality of guard play overall truly isn't very good outside of Flaujae and Morris. Morris seems to struggle between being a ball handler distrubuting and being a scorer, its like she can't seem to put both together at the same time often. She has games where she doesn't score well but has a bunch of assists and games where she scores a lot but has a bunch of turnovers. Flaujae is a true freshmen, so turnovers will come and go as expected with young kids like that.

And this isn't to demean anyone as the kids work super hard I'm sure, but Poole, Poa, and Carson are not the quality guards Kim use to have at Baylor. There are many kids on the roster who are basically placeholders until Kim brings in more talent through HS recruiting. There was only so much that could be done in one offseason flipping the roster over like that.

A PG will probably be Kim's #1 priority this offseason from the portal, even with a true PG (top 50 player) is coming in. That and another big to compliment Reese until the other freshmen come along

After LSU beat Tennessee, Georgia and Texas A&M don’t see how Indiana could leapfrog LSU. LSU will be #2
