UT released about 6,000+ LSU single game tickets to season ticket holders beginning today thru Wednesday (or whenever the tickets sellout). Higher priority season tickets holders could purchase up to 8 additional tickets today.
If any left after today, those next in line season ticket holders could purchase 4-6 tickets, depending upon priority. The ticket supply in the public's hands just increased and it may have an effect on prices. Of course, it could be an opposite effect, but normally when the supply increases the prices drop. Hope this helps those looking.

Seems pretty unfair for UT to hoard the tickets that they know LSU would buy. We already had a crappy allotment as is.

How is that unfair? It's their stadium. I wish LSU would sell less tickets to opposing fans.

It’s not Texas’s responsibility to cater to LSU fans.

Do you want LSU taking tickets from us in a year and giving a larger number of the standard allotted amount to Texas fans because we know they’d buy them?

It’s not a neutral site game. This is apart of going in the road in an anticipated top 10 matchup.

i get to pick on Wed so maybe i can get singles but i think it will sell out before i pick. How did you find out it was 6,000 tickets? UT would not tell me how many but when i looked at the stadium map Sunday, it looked like about 2,000 tickets left

Agree - I'll hope we make an exception next year and sell Texas 3000 tickets. Plus we move them to the highest corner of the stadium. We'll show them who 'The Mecca of College Football' is.

Of course it's not but 3,000 tickets allotted to LSU is laughable. So in theory, for every 97 UT fans, you'll see 3 LSU fans IN the game.

Just saying it should be a bit more equitable is all.

Is Texas letting people pick based on priority ranking or section in the stadium?

Unless things change, all Texas is getting is exactly what they gave to us. I have no idea where their seats will be placed, but you'd think that LSU would offer the usual visitor seats to Tiger fans and stick UT with the ones in the east upper deck. Texas fans have deep pockets, so what I don't want to see is a repeat of the embarrassing scene of over 20K visiting fans in Tiger Stadium, simply because our "fans" sold out to make a quick buck.

priority ranking so only people who give a lot of money and have had season tickets for awhile can pick today but they can get up to 8 tickets - we LSU people who got season tickets at UT this year do not get to pick till Wed (if there is anything left)

My friend bought 8 tickets for me in the lower bowl. He has very high priority.

Not unfair that more Texas fans will see their team get crushed.

You’re not entitled to anything. Texas has no obligation to LSU fans. As we have no obligation to their fans. There’s a secondary market, no-ones stopping you.

anyone know if this means students can get a ticket if they haven’t already?

I doubt students will be getting any tickets from LSU. There may be a few reserved for high priority students, but not sure.

When the home and homes were scheduled, this was the number decided upon by both universities... Supposed to be the same for Texas next year when they come to Baton Rouge.
