PG
(6'2, 186) JR. Bo Spencer/(6'1, 185) SO. Chris Bass v. (6'1, 172) SO. Kemba Walker

SG
(6'4, 205) FR. Aaron Dotson/(6'2, 186) JR. Bo Spencer v. (6'3, 180) SR. Jerome Dyson

SF
(6'7, 245) SR. Tasmin Mitchell v. (6'9, 220) SR. Stanley Robinson

PF
(6'7, 230) SO. Storm Warren v. (6'9, 230) SR. Gavin Edwards

C
(6'11, 230) SO. Garrett Green/(6'11, 190) FR. Dennis Harris v. (6'9, 240) FR. Alex Oriakhi

Robinson is their big forward scorer and will be a fun matchup to watch for Tasmin Mitchell as that guy has NBA size for a 3. Their 2 guards are both very good and we're going to have a tough time containing them IMO.

I'm going to be in NYC for Turkey Day. I may head to MSG for the game.

I'll bet Calhoun wishes Brady were still here.

I had no idea Chris Bass was 6-1. I was thinking more like 5-10, and I was being generous with that guess.

I dont think C bass is really 6'1" but I dont really care about height matchups. I think it gets way overused. If you have a hand in their face I don't think it really matters how tall you are, especially when your talking about a few inches difference. Not a big deal to me if you play hard defense.

Hopefully UConn is still hungover from their last 6OT game in the Garden. Is that too much to ask?

UConn is not a good matchup for LSU. I'd like to see Trent Johnson play a triangle and two defense against UConn; I think this would give us the best chance to contain Walker and Dyson. FWIW, I make UConn a 7.5 point favorite on a neutral court. Though MSG is technically neutral, I'd imagine there would be a slight homecourt advantage to UConn, being that the Huskies have played there before and more recently and Storrs is about 2.5 hours from NYC.

Why? When Brady was here LSU always gave UCONN all they could handle and then some.

taz and robinson is a nice matchup. im hoping taz can use his strength to his advantage. since we're playing on an nba court, perhaps it will open thing sup a bit for guys like spencer and dotson. if bas is out there and can get into the lane and kick it out it will open things up more.

Brady smoked UConn in the 06-07 season, but there's no way Trent blows this game.

I remember that one. It hurt.

that was the game that confirmed to me that we had a special group of players. we looked great against west virginia, mediocre against cincinnati, great for about 36 minutes against ohio state, up and down in other games. we came out and played really well, i felt great about our chances being up by like 5 or 7 at halftime but we withered away towards the end and marcus williams really turned it on for uconn in the second half. the whole nation found out about tyrus that day and darrel mitchell was amazing.
