We would have zero chance to beat Texas Tech. Troy walked into our house with their 3rd string qb and scored 31 on us in a half and one drive. Just think about that. TT would throw the ball all over our defense and make it look easy. There is no way we could keep them below 45 points.

TTU's a little overrated, IMO.

We also with into overtime with the number 1 team in the nation. You cant just look at one game. LSU was a different team after the Bama loss.

Now Im not saying that we would win, TT would probably do its will with our D, but Scott can have a field day with their line too

There is no way a 1 loss TT team plays a 5 loss LSU in a bowl. How is this even possible?

The Bama game was the only game we really played well in all year. The rest of LSU's defense's body of work points to that being a due to the fact that the bama game was one of the most hyped games in the history of LSU. We just gave up 30 or more points to Ole Miss and Arkansas. Also, Charles Scott in all likelihood would not run all over TT since he just ran for a combined 38 yards against arkansas and ole miss. He hasn't rushed for over 100 since Tulane.

only 2 teams per conference in the BCS (Okie and Texas) Leaves TT out. With conference tie ins their best Bowl chance is the Cotton against probably a SEC West team LSU or Ole Miss. It just happens this way sometimes.

In no way is that a good situation for LSU. If TT skull fricks LSU that could be the begining of the end of the our golden years.

On the other hand if LSU pulls off the upset I don't think Miles will make any changes to his coaching staff. Which will mark the begining of the end of these golden years.

BS.

TT is expected to skull us.

If they do, it is expected. No biggie. We stay at this level until next year.

If we keep it close, it helps a lot. We move a step up.

If we win, the we move a couple of step forward. Huge.

At first when I thought about this, I thought LSU would get killed. If you look at Les' three bowl games, you will see how well he does with 3 weeks to plan. I know you can say that LSU had a good defense then and you are right. I still remember in 2005 when LSU was going to play Miami in the bowl game with Matt Flynn who had never thrown a meaningful pass. Flynn came in and managed the game and we won 40-3.

I really think that if Les and Crowton have 3 weeks to create a game plan and work with Jefferson, we will be fine. I think JJ really improved in one week from Ole Miss to Arky. How much could he improve in 3 weeks? I don't think Tech has played a QB with the running ability that JJ has. I know the teams in the Big 12 don't have the running game that we have either. Also, can imagine the matchup of Crabtree and Peterson? If we could hire an aggressive DC before the bowl game, it would help. I don't think they have the powerful offensive line like we are used to seeing so we should be able to get some pressure on Harrell. Plus I don't think Tech has played as well since the OU game.

I don't think it is unthinkable that LSU could beat Texas Tech. I just don't see why they would want to put these 2 teams together. I know LSU brings a lot of fans with them, but LSU is not ranked in the top 25 and Tech is in the top 10. I think LSU will go to the Peach Bowl to face Georgia Tech.

miles will make coaching changes by the end of next week brah

If by "changes" you mean shuffling them around and reassigning duties, I would agree. If by "changes" you mean bringing in a real defensive coordinator, I am in serious doubt.

Texas tech will put up 60+.

I'd be surprised if they didn't.

This will probably be the biggest loss in the history of our program

Doubtful. Our offense will show up and score a few points, at least enough to keep the margin under 55 (current worst loss), but Texas Tech would have a good chance of surpassing 63 points (current most we've ever allowed).

It's not LSU's talent to play and/or beat GT or TT, that I actually doubt,

You should. We don't have the speed to keep up with either of them. We have a serious talent deficiency on defense. Even with a decent coordinator, which we don't have, we'd be sliced to shreds by either of these offenses.

it's whether they'll show-up and with heart?

Well, they've resolved all doubts in that area. They won't.

I didn't see much variation.

I know lots of TTU grads. Believe me when I say they would absolutely love to see the Raiders pound a down SEC elite program.

How would they feel about beating the shite out of LSU, though?

I think the team needs to be a major underdog with nobody giving them a chance to win.

Well, that's pretty much going to be the story no matter who we play. There's not a bowl eligible team in a BCS conference that LSU could beat.

LSU should have the new defensive coaches in place.

We SHOULD have had them in place last January and not wasted what could have been a useful rebuilding year doing nothing and having to start all over again next year. Point being, we don't always do what we SHOULD. There's no reason to think there will be any new faces on the LSU defensive coaching staff next year (whether on Jan. 1st or Sept. 1st).

LSU back in the top-10 going into 09.

I'm hopeful, but not confident, that LSU can finish in the top 10 of the SEC in 2009, and we're odds-on likely to finish in the top 10 in Louisiana, but if you were talking about what it seemed like you were talking about...

no.

LSU can beat anybody we play. Maybe they did give up on the season, maybe not. I know that they will want to prove to the world that they are still one of the best teams out there. Bring whoever it is and we will win with whoever is DC (I still want a new proven one). We will win whatever bowl we play in.

All you negative, the sky is falling, people out there aren't any better than the bandwagon fans right now. We can't beat them, i don't want to play them. If our WWII vets acted like this we would all be speaking German right now.
