Is Browndyke a fairy or what? We know you were one of the worst kickers in LSU history but act like you've made a kick before dude.

I was like 8 and I was at this game with my Grandpa (OSU alum) and my dad (LSU alum).
It was a really fun day and a tie was the best result for our family. My grandpa was really old-school and he was angry at how LSU fans tried to make noise during the snap to drown out Tupa's signals

great clip - I was there. Pregame fight with Andolsek and Spielman got the fans jacked up. Loudest game ever - I hate to say it but the stadium was LOUDER then even without the East Upper deck. Remember the Dekes sign that week said, "Earl Bruce says don't scratch his nuts"....

That is where the stupidity of Mike Archer REALLY came out.
Yep- this game was the beginning of his end.

The loudest part of that game was at the very start. tOSU gets the ball on the 20, Tom Tupa goes under center and the place is going absolutely crazy, like you can't even hear yourself screaming, and he's barking signals, and the sound keeps up, and he backs away from the center and says something to the ref, like, "WTF IS this?". The ref pointed him back to the line, and the place gets even LOUDER.
The sound actually had a physical presence. Amazing. I'm getting goosebumps even now just thinking about it.
Go Tigers!!

it was, like, his 3-4 game as a HC. He managed to stick around 4 years... dude was not even close to perfecting his stupidity (which was mostly when he hit the recruiting trail) at this point.

the hit that Eric Hill put on Keith Byars I believe was the hardest and loudest ever witnessed.....imho

Yeah that game was nuts. They would not come out on the field until the crowd would shut up. It was a gamblers hand and bruce was playing it all the way and lost. God the crowd was great that day.

I was 8 yrs old and it was my first game in Tiger Stadium. In my parents living room there's a picture from that game of me and my family in Tiger Stadium.

I remember it was loud as hell and OSU had red shoes which seemed odd to me. Great game.

If I recall correctly, one of the reasons the crowd was so loud, other than the Andolsek / Spielman confrontation was that all the national media and tOSU media had talked all week about how tOSU had played in the Big House and at the Rose Bowl, blah, blah, blah, and that Tiger Stadium was going to have little effect on them.
Well, when Andolsek and the other captains came out the locker room, the crowd went nuts and never really stopped until halftime and again when the game ended.
Probably the most sustained, loudest daytime crowd noise ever in TS.

How good was this Hodson guy? Seemed to be a level headed QB.
