How does ND do with Jet Sweeps?

Going to get a whole lotta that

Pretty well actually. We have decent speed on defense on the edges, much weaker when teams go up the middle.

Looks like ND's gonna get a whole lotta crap before the game.

I will say that LSU doesn't have a dominant DL but I do consider them to have a top 20 squad with enough of a rotation that they won't get worn out. We are talking about a 3-4 so the DLinemen really aren't expected to rack up stats. That said, they do their job very well
A honorable man.

they are a hard team for me to figure out looking at stats and highlights

Shoot - We're hard to figure out...

Notre Dame is the team that's hard to figure out - it's been quite the roller coaster and seems to be all about the matchups.

Chark's punt return TD was voted the SEC play of the year. It completely changed the momentum and Auburn never recovered.

* 2-9 vs top 20 teams on road (has anyone noticed Notre 70's track record of games in South Bend ???)

* Since 95' Notre 70's bowl record is 4-12

IF LSU takes this game half way seriously it will be a skull drag

i haven't really decided yet which way i am leaning. Default tends to go irish, but still trying to evaluate with brain instead of heart.

These 2 teams are almost identical in what they like to do offensively, and that's run the ball.

Whichever team can make a few big pass plays, and get a few first downs passing the ball, will win this game.

As much as some of our fans dislike Etling, I do think he's a little better passing the ball than ND's QB.

Slight edge to LSU

FYI stepherson and holmes out for the game. Holmes is not significant, great athlete, but needs a lot of work and likely wouldn't play. Stepherson is very significant and i think this will be the end for him at ND. Not only was he the most productive receiver, with Claypool already out with an injury, it doesn't leave a lot left. Short of ND being able to run for 350+ yards (not likely) i am pretty much thinking LSU in this game. i dont see much in the way of weapons left to throw the ball too, and they won't be able to beat LSU being 1 dimensional. Its a shame.

I would have been ok with a loss if ND showed up to play and LSU was better, but at this point they are gift wrapping it for LSU.

awesome, another threat out. Alize Mack is out for the game. Dropping like flies. He has been a disappoint this year. He was my breakout player of the year, showed great ability, missed last year for academics. But had a bad case of the drops.

Even with Stephenson gone. Alize gone ND is so strong that I fear for LSU. ND's effort versus MSU was the most thorough arse whipping the Spartans have ever received in the series history.

I will be i. Orlando for the game. I enjoy your fan base and the women that come with it. Lol
We have significant players out so I see this game as a toss up about who wants it more.

LSU will be without Arden Key, and 2 starting linebackers Corey Thompson, and Donnie Alexander. We do have good replacements but Thompson and Key are 2 of our Key* pass rushers.

I hope we can pull out a win but I think it's going to be tough. I'm not sold yet on LSU being able to soundly beat a good opponent.

Yeah.....that's kinda' how I feel, too....LSU could win, but I can see ND winning, too....the other factor in these bowl games is how much a team really wants to be there.....that's hard to gauge...
