Ah. 1989-1994. The good old days.

The spoiled frickers who post on this board who weren't even alive in those years and who get pissed when we win "only" 10 games in a year should be made to sit in a room and watch every single loss from those 6 years. I will NEVER underappreciate what we have now because I lived through all that.

Agreed. Some of these guys don't realize how truly awful we were.

I remember sitting in a half empty Tiger Stadium at kickoff many times. My first game in TS was about 10 years earlier when we beat FSU in 1982. The contrast was saddening. Damn you to hell Curley.

What a ridiculous comparison. And how many 6 or 7 loss seasons does Les have?

Just stating a simple fact. It appears that you don't like this fact. I am sorry. You will just have to accept it though.

Also since you asked, Mike Archer has only one more 5 loss SEC season than does Les Miles.

Ok dickhead of the numbers, try this one on.

Ratio of seasons with 5 SEC losses to total seasons coached:

Archer: 2 out of 4 (50%)
Miles: 1 out of 9 (11%).

Sec championships:
Archer: 1 out of 4
Miles: 2 out of 9

One loss seasons:
Archer: 1 out of 4
Miles: 1 out of 9

The name calling isn't necessary, but thanks for the post. It was very informative.

Why was Archer the one apologizing? His QB was the one who got hit with the cheap shot out of bounds. I was at that game but was long gone by that time.

The oranges, seat cushions and fog game....you picked a pretty good game to be your first.

If we could only play ooc conference games like that again

that's the price of success unfortunately, "big name" OOC teams don't want to come to your house anymore and only want to play neutral shite games.

So Archer is equal to saban? Oh shite lets call him up.

Our fans are fricking stupid.

and btw, he was co champions of the sec when we played only 7 sec games and lost 18 games in 4 years, meaning he averaged over 4 losses per year.

its amazing how bent out of shape simple minded people get when they read a simple fact and try to come up with other people's opinions even though no opinions were stated in the original post.

Hey T , while your at it why dont you post the other head coaches SEC championships and see how many they have while miles is a LSU. If your trying to compare Miles to Archer than your not doing a very good job.Why dont you show how many 10 win seasons the two coaches had compared? Seems to me your are trolling. Seems to me T your the one only pulling stats that suit your intended purpose. Looks like to me your trying to make the 2 coaches look similar when there really not. Just an observation

We weren't very good at that time, but we were like the Saints...we could rumble.

Well enlighten us simple minded folk then. You are comparing Archer to Miles in your post.

there is no point in comparing wins since they play so many more games now. its not like a 10 win season is some awesome season like it used to be. now you can have 3 regular season loses, win your bowl game and end up with 10 wins.

bringing up wins is usually something people do win comparing charlie McClendon and miles through their 1st 9 years. miles has a ton more wins, but the # of losses are almost identical. comparing loses is always a better comparison.

Ok Archer has 18 losses in 4 years, playing 6, 7, 7, 7 sec games.

Les has 24 losses in 9 years playing 9, 8, 9, 8, 8, 8, 10, 8, 8 games against the sec.

what people fail to realize now is that you have to play 3 more sec games to win it than you did when archer was first coaching at LSU. So yes we added more games to the schedule, more conference games. 4 of the losses came in post season play, Archer didnt make post season play 4 times. Keep going though, my simple mind needs more enlightenment.

Ok then how about the number of SEC coaches that have SEC championships in the span Miles has been at LSU? My point is its hard to win in the SEC these days . Other than saban, Miles is one of the top in the sec as much as you would hate to admit that.
