Florida shoots 28% from three.

That's why LSU decided to play zone. But the thing is, you don't need to. Florida isn't a good offensive team at all. They are getting a lot of their points on hustle plays and offensive rebounding.

Just play straight up man and they aren't good enough to beat you.

On offense, just give the ball to Simmons down low.

Seems as though the Aggies are getting a taste of what it's like to play a good team at THEIR HOUSE

In case anyone missed it, Blakeney hit a 3.

As for defense, I didn't really understand the zone. We're not a zone team, and if we decided to go zone I figured it would have been to protect players in foul trouble. But the players in foul trouble were on the bench.

Their transition game is terrible, but LSU hasn't had the opportunities to push it up the floor. By the time they decide which of them deserves to get the rare defensive rebound, Florida's defense is already set.

And yeah, the officiating is typical SEC road officiating.

I am curious to see Coach JJ's philosophy on 2nd half fouls for Quarterman or Hornsby if they pick up their 3rd early on.

We missed a bunch of layups, rebounded like shite, and got screwed by the refs early. Down only 3. Gotta step up the effort, and we can win this thing.

Officiating was really bad the first 10 minutes, but it was pretty even the final 10.

That was some shitty ball played by both teams. Here's to hoping we get something going and Florida continues to suck

it's not just shooting.

they are an all around terrible offensive team. They shoot it 41% as a team on the season.

No reason to play zone and let them get cheap back end buckets and 2nd chance rebounds.

Staying in zone for 17 minutes was retarded.

UF can't shoot whether we're in a zone or man. We rarely play zone and that was obvious. It hurt our rebounding horribly which zones typically do. We also left the back of the zone wide open on at least 2 alley oops.

I agree that we should have abandoned it, but I get why we tried to play zone initially.
