Ok. Maybe not the greatest rivalry, but the biggest, most important game since Saban became Alabama’s coach. No one can really argue with that. They use their bye every year against LSU. Why? Because LSU is their biggest threat, the team they are most worried about.
I want some of what YOU are smoking...............

I can't agree, My Man.
I lived in Dayton Ohio and saw Ohio State/Michigan up close for 3 years.
Have lived in Texas for many years and witnessed both Texas/TXA&M and Texas/Oklahoma up close and personal.
I've watched the Notre Dame/USC game in it's heyday and follow Georgia/Florida every year.
I lived in Birmingham for a few years too. Folks, there is no greater rivalry in college football than the Gumps (and their mostly classless and arrogant supporters sporting multiple Summer teeth (Summer there and Summer not) and Auburn. Save for one wonderful friend who graduated from there, I detest all things War Eagle also.
No dog in any of the rivalry fights. Been there, seen that. Bama/Auburn Iron Bowl is the Cat's arse.
LSU/BAMA is elite college football. Important college football. Both schools understand the threat presented by the other. Bitter rivals but not a time tested "greatest" rivalry.
Anybody got better? Why?

Look at the overall record in this series. Sadly not much of a rivalry

Only to LSU and only because Saban used to coach here.

Just since Saban came to LSU has it been any type of a rivalry...the gumps didn't have him then. He'll, if you eant to go back, LSU & aTm had a pretty good rivalry...
