Rumor is its a 3 year series where LSU travels to Seattle. Next year Gonzaga travels to LSU and the following year LSU travels to Gonzaga. Apparently Gonzaga is compensating LSU to play in something called the Battle In Seattle. ESPN will broadcast the game nationally.

Haven't heard that. I'm for it, but shite, we need a nice OOC home game next year! Right now we've got UMass who will probably be a bit down, and Texas Tech who will lucky to be in the middle of the Big 12

Gonzaga plays a power conference team every year in Seattle. It's usually a sellout atmosphere too.

I'm all for that. I agree on wanting another good home non-conference home game. It eould be great for building up the home crowds early. At least we know we'll have wvu and gonzaga in the pmac next year if this is true.

Sounds like a terrible deal, each team gets a home game and then a neutral game 4 hrs from 1 campus and 4 days from the other?

If ESPN is broadcasting it as its prime time game then it doesn't matter where the in hell LSU plays so long we get the exposure back that we lost with the program when Dale was fired. LSU needs to get back on the national map and a matchup with Gonzaga would be the equivalent of us playing Duke, Kansas, UNC, UCLA, etc.

Sadly, I'm not sure many people remember that we were in that Final Four in 2006 because of George Mason's run to the Final Four.

I would definetely go to LSU vs Gonzaga! Gonzaga basketball is huge up here so this would be a good road battle.
