So, now the question remains...how many more voters will Okie have to pick up?

If they get the other 5 computers it stays the same. But if we get one more then I think it moves to 37% #2 votes needed for OSU.
Disclaimer: Im not 100% sure about that, I cant find where I read that earlier tonight.

If OSU is behind bama in both sagarin and massey, then they need almost 40% of the votes.

Massey's ranking didnt concern me because I thought it could be dropped as the lowest. Now okie state needs it to have the .96-.92 edge. Otherwise its only .95-.93. I still think okie state gets massey and wolfe but the computers are looking far closer than I thought. The sagarin rankings were just criminal.

You are right. If bama gets Massey and sagarin, OSU would need 37.5%. More than that if voters use Stanford as a wedge.

are we conceding Sagarin is correct? Do you also think Bama gets Massey?

Does anyone have a breakdown of the Sagarin from last week to see what change this weekends games had?

BCSman -

If you look at Masssey, Bama has a tougher projected SOS than OSU. Plus that gap looks pretty big. I don't think they will get it. I do think they get Wolfe.

That sagarin rating is criminal if right. It is unconstitutional for sagarin to not release his formula imo.

I know OSU basically had the exact same score.

BradEdwards_BCS Brad Edwards
Sagarin and Wolfe are Bama's strongest computers, and Tide is still No. 2 in Sagarin. If Wolfe also has Tide 2nd, that's a huge deal.

Brad edwards just tweeted and he is more interested in wolfe. However, Wolfe usually gives a good push and okie only needs about .3 to overtake them.

These computers are not audited by anyone so could be some hankie pankie going on with the formula tonight. Sagarin was the screw job of the century.

i hope there is nothing shady going on because Pickens is already talking about an investigation. The man has alot of money and clout. this thing might get ugly very soon. is it possible for Boone Pickens to get his lawyers together and file a suit to have the game postpone for the investigation?

How can these computers not release their formula? That seems ripe for abuse. Can't some one(smarter than me) backward engineer the results and determine the formula? Why do we trust any of these weirdos?

My head is spinning.

Sagrin is absolutely insane.

And I agree about the secrecy of Sagrin. How could something used to determine the BCS be kept under wraps from everyone?

Massey:
Bama: 2.494
Okie: 2.468

That should be easy enough.

Peter Wolfe will be closest IMO but not entirely sure. Tomorrow will be interesting.

Sagarin from last week:

LINK

According to this, OSU went from 97.18 to 97.81 for their win over the #6 team in the nation (according to Sagarin). OU did not drop one spot, falling from 92.35 to 91.49. Bama dropped from 99.56 to 99.49.

ETA: I'm guessing there is some kind of ceiling effect but compare this (it is somewhat amazing). LSU went from 108.46 to 108.06 AFTER beating Georgia. They actually lost points for beating Georgia. Meanwhile Georgia improved from 86.55 to 86.96 and moved up from 14th to 11th based on their performance.

Not sure how accurate but looks like Bama will win 2 computers:

LINK

Sagarin could be the deal breaker here for OSU.

ETA: Looks like that link is not updated. Ignore.
