They wear them all but maybe one SEC game per year. Even Bama and Penn St regularly wear different colors home and away.

Why they’ve kept the template from the 07 Tulane alternate for 17 years is beyond me. It doesn’t match the rest of the aesthetic program.
It's from the 90s, and matched the cuffs/collars of the gold jersey. Technically, it also matches the purple jersey striping (gold/white/gold, surrounded by purple), which is why it works.
But yes, if they want to keep wearing the white jerseys with white helmets and/or pants, the striping needs to match.

The all whites are better. I love our tradition and the tradition of once a year doing a unique uniform like this.
