huge money just came in on UNC to flip the line from LSU -1.5 to UNC -1

Bad bad sign for LSU considering 70+% of the wagers are on LSU

Couple of UNC players tryin' to double up on that agent money, baby.

(P.S. I have no idea what this reversal would actually signify. I suppose someone might have inside information that the UNC D-linemen will clear, but otherwise I don't have any reason to suspect that the new money bets are any more accurate than those made by the old wagers).

Early for big money to be laid down... Still alot of time for injuries etc to happen between now and game time.

Pinnacle, BetUS and CRIS all have UNC -1...sure it will change time and again, but when a line moves 2.5 points in the opposite direction of the number of wagers placed signifies someone or many feel that UNC has great value at the opening line

Why exactly is that a bad sign?

Vegas adjusts the line based on the amount of money wagered on a partiular side, not the number of wagers on a particular side, to encourage an even figure on both sides. If roughly 800 wagers have been placed and 70% are on LSU, then a significant amount of money was recently placed on UNC by a professional gambler(s) who obviously make a living doing this. Very significant this early on given all of UNC's off field issues.

And, why is that a bad sign for LSU, again?

What site is that on? $250 bets were moving lines about a point on 5Dimes last week.

$250 wouldn't move a thing - don't gamble if you believe that

On the SEC rant they are having a contest for best post of the year and dumbest, and a variety of other categories. This guy CAMP RANDALL's post deserves some kind of acknowledgement.

It came from a site with people that gamble a lot more than I do. Maybe it was a different book with low limits.

And I wouldn't gamble if you're banking on RLM as a sole indicator. Why would a sharp go big on UNC +1.5 right now? With squares betting LSU up over 2 weeks before kickoff he probably would've gotten a better number by waiting.
