We were on several of those lists last year and won the national championship. If you want to judge the teams that are rising or declining look at the rivals.com team recruiting ranks. That is the best judge of the future.

In year 3 of the "Saban Experience" LSU was unranked.

what is this rout I keep hearing of? we lost by 14, that is not a rout. not good but no rout. we were down by 7 at half and came back to 11 points at the beginning of the 4th? Shows they do nothing more than look at the box score and pretend to be experts across the board. Minus the turnovers we led in a lot of categories. No rout, Florida..... that was a rout.

Yeah, that guy sucked at program building and running a defense.

Saban lost 5 games in his 3rd year at LSU. How did Bob the Builder manage this?

Hmmm.. He took over a 4-7 and 3-8 program, that's how. Hmmmm. OMG, he lost 5 games while he was building something. And he never allowed 50 points in a game. Not once, let alone three times in ten games. Revisionists, sad.

Wow. Yeah, the 31-0 was horrible. But giving up 50 is just sick.

yea, losing to bama 31-0 felt so much better because it wasn't 52-38.

Saban isn't God and we aren't BCS worthy this year, but we can still beat bama.

No, he inherited a ton of Dinardo talent went 8-4 his first year, 10-3 his second year & then lowent 8-5 in his 3rd year. He lost to UAB. Revisionists? No that is his record at LSU.

drizztiger is saying he'd rather lose by 31 points rather than 14 points.

That DiNardo coached to where? He lost to UAB his first year, not his third. He also won the first NC at LSU in 45 years. But he sucked big time. Sucks this year too.

I can't stand the guy, but the silliness of questioning his success at coaching shows the childishness of some fans. No one laid 50+ on Saban's defense. The same can't be said since his defense left.

Where is Clemson? they were top 10 at start of year... shouldnt they be in bigger decline having fired their coach.

I'm saying I had faith in our defense even though we gave up the same trap draw 20 times that game. I'd rather someone hang 31 on me and suck on offense than let MULTIPLE teams hang 50+ on me. Maybe it's just pride.

Nick Saban isn't perfect, but he is a far, far, far better defensive coach than Peveto and Mallory.

That is absolutely and completely indisputable.

Like it or not, what the boy said is painfully true. If we are able to whip our way out of a wet paper sack it will be a miracle.
