Another home game lost

Most Tiger fans gone by the start of the 3rd quarter in Tiger Stadium, so what is the big loss other than money?

At least, Jerry World stays full beyond the start of the 3rd quarter!

"do we get paid to play at jerry world for TCU's home portion?"

For TCU's home portion? Not sure what you mean, the slate is essentially wiped clean and this is a single game deal now. Do we get more money by playing there? Who knows, but we better to sacrifice home games like this. But we would be on TV regardless so I don't see Jerry forking over the amount of cash an LSU home game would get and I doubt the TV money is much different whether we are playing in the Whore Classic or playing at home.

We're not really losing a home game. There is still a OOC opponent that we have to fill and it will be a home game. Then, we'll still have seven which is all we need. Yeah, I know we have eight this year, but we had six last year. Our typical home schedule is seven games and that's what we'll end up having.

Jesus, the Rant will complain about ANYTHING. For those who went to the A&M and Oregon games at Cowboys Stadium, it was the most fun I've had in years for an LSU game. TCU will be a downright tough opponent next year.

Will you stop bitching about home games? It's better for LSUs brand to play in these venues

Wait lets not jump off a cliff here.....it ain't that bad for anyone. I mean bars, restaurants, hotels, rental car places, and MSY may feel it cut pretty deep but not as bad as if Santa shut down In fact if I were a clothing retailer I'd think that a Saturday where LSU loses a home game may be a day that my sales increase.....but I could be wrong.

I just know what I hear. The value of an LSU home game is in the millions to BR area businesses. The impact is, in fact, felt all the way to NOLA.

Before anyone and everyone jumps down my throat, I'm all for these types of games. For several reasons, not least being the money LSU makes. It's also huge for recruiting.

There's always two sides to a coin though.

Looks like Bama playing in Chick fil a kickoff classic the next two years.

Texas playing UCLA in cowboys classic in 2014.

This sucks!

A home and home schedule with a Big 12 school is better. LSU loses a home game now to go play in Jerry World.
