@DellengerAdv: Source says Bryan Stinespring is not interviewing for the #LSU OL opening. #SillySeason #WhoKnows
Footballscoop also says he's not leaving VT.

I love how you are all such experts on what should happen here. How do you know that any of these candidates are or are not worth a shite? I honestly don't give a frick who he hires at this point, just do all the pointless talk about it will stop. Its just a fricking OL coach, for fricks sake.

I would imagine FSU, Alabama, and tOSU, for example, would take this position coach seriously and get the absolute best person available for the job. Not just an insider homey. Or rule out anybody because nobody on the Rant knows who they are.

This place is just a time killer and venue to discuss LSU stuff amongst ourselves. (Many who don't have an utter clue, have social agendas and are perfectly fine and agreeable to anything and everything that goes down regarding LSU Athletics)

He was an OC who got demoted to TE coach and you want him to coach LSU's OL?

I think they meant va techs current o-line coach Jeff grimes. He was an assistant at auburn when they won the nc and has texas recruiting ties

Grimes is a fantastic OL recruiter... He's a huge reason our 2013 OL was so talented. He helped get all five starters to auburn, especially freshman AA Alex Kozan... With that said, he's a pretty average position coach. Outside of 2010 where he was handed four senior starters, his lines were mediocre... And 2011 and 12 certified dumpster fires.

Yup...which adds another quality name to the list.

Fwiw he's pretty much the only coach I didn't want gone when we cleared house at AU last year
Great coach and recruiter

I notice that in general, if those brains haven't heard of somebody, then that somebody must be worse than yesterday's wet newspaper. I just want LSU to get the best possible candidate, and I am sure that is exactly what CLM/Cam are aiming for.
Or rule out anybody because nobody on the Rant knows who they are.

Like you know anything about him.

I would thing miles is looking in the Big 12. Power football. Run first, pass second with a mediocre QB. Having that type of line coach with the talent we have at RB, Oline, and QB would be mind blowing.
What about iowa's TE coach....he gave us hell in the bowl game

I would love to see Kevin Mawae hired. There is no doubt he would be GREAT.

Which is exactly what is not needed.
Hope Kevin Mawae gets the job, I think he would be a Great Position Coach.

Grimes would be a great hire because he has a rep as both a very good coach and recruiter.
