For comparison's sake, here's what we have now. Definitely an improvement

I'm sure they'll get Nicholson Drive apts knocked down and then? Everything from the foundation building to Chimes Street will be used for football parking probably for the next five years.

Any idea what the Spruce project is that the article references? We surely aren't talking about spruce trees, right?

Anyway this is excellent news, and Moret might be the only administrator that gives me faith in LSU's future

Spruce Project

I believe they're referencing Spruce Hall which is going north of those new dorms (Cypress Hall) between the enchanted forest and the new band hall in that old commuter lot. Here's Cypress Hall

Ah, I see. obviously a 20 million dollar project doesn't stem from trees I just couldn't find anything on the "Spruce project"

I wonder what kind of retail ideas they have to generate so much revenue. It looks like the majority of the project is new student housing, which isn't a bad thing by any means

this is pretty common at most universities, so I'm okay with it. Alabama already has two very nice UREC's. Meanwhile it takes 10 years for Womack Construction to finish even one phase of our UREC

I asked the question because a consulting firm proposed they do that about 10 years ago. I'm just shocked they are finally doing it. Especially with the expansion to the current facilities.
