13 SEC teams in the top 25! Conference is loaded. Really hope we get off to a 3-0 head start hosting Mizzou, the one non-tournament worthy team in the conference

Not one for hyperbole and I realize it's March... but that series is an absolute MUST SWEEP

I realize expansion is 100% money driven, but at some point it becomes beyond stupid when a conference gets so many teams you rarely play a team within it. If the SEC went to 18 teams we would be even more rarely playing some teams

Not necessarily. Fixing the problem would mean just dropping a few of the OOC series. I’d much rather get a conference series vs fsu and or Clemson than OOC series vs Omaha and or North Alabama.

Same theory applies to all other sports. Make it 90% SEC on SEC.

I think only 1 conference plays more than 30 conference games as is and thats the mighty Northeast Conference (NEC)

I dont think you'd ever see SEC coaches at least even close to a majority sign up for more SEC series as is. I mean MAYBE go to 11 series/33 games but certainly not over that. You still have the same issue not playing teams for a while in a 18 team conference. It's impossible to play 16 or 17 SEC baseball series in a season. There's only 14 weekends of play before the SECT. In a 16 team conference we couldnt even play all 15 teams unless they got rid of the SECT entirely which is definitely not happening.
