I find it funny how many of yall mock Texas and what it stands for, but then when it comes time for you to get a good job, find a place to live, go to school, etc.... you come here as soon as you can and get out of LA. Be careful of biting the hand that feeds you.

Can't we mock Texas and take advantage of the state at the same time?

Let's do it!

If the state of Texas sees $ they will consider it. I would pay good money to sport the P&G license plate on the Suburban.

Wasn't a good portion of East Texas at one point Louisiana soil (part of the Louisiana Purchase)?

I just looked up the GA plate. That is cool as hell. I just wish Nebraska would start offering different plates. We have two plates the normal stupid one we get and then a Cornhusker plate. I hate both.

This was on DandyDons this morning ....

You've asked for them and now they're coming! The 8 LSU Alumni Chapters across Texas have requested approval of the Texas Dept. of Transportation to manufacture LSU Specialty License Plates. We would be the first out-of-state university to join all the in-state schools in showing their school colors. (Arkansas has also requested approval and we can't let the Hogs beat us to the punch!)

The minimum number of applications needed to start manufacturing is 1,900 and we intend to exceed this total in our first year. The Houston Chapter is participating in this statewide effort and an order form can be found at: LINK . Make your check or money order for $30 to LSU Alumni Association of Greater Houston and mail to the mailing address found on the order form. (online payment through PayPal is available for $31, see above.)

You can also go to any LSU Alumni Chapter in Texas website and order from the chapter closer to your location.

If you live in Houston have any questions, you can contact Mike Fernandez at mike_fernandez@ml.com. You do not have to be an LSU alum to own one of these unique plates. The sooner we reach our goal, the quicker you can own yours! Pass this information on to your Texas LSU fans and help us have LSU plates on Texas highways by early 2009.

Should we not reach our minimum, all payments will be refunded in full.
