You are still ignoring the point..
I can park at Bama and other SEC schools fro free too!
LSU fans would be willing to pay to park if that meant we have the benefit of parking closer to the stadium. How does charging $20 to park in the Levee Lots or Hayfields amount to anything other than a potentially empty lot.
Wouldnt that occur if there is free parking closer?
Why doesnt LSU use the same price points as other universities? Where did they get $40 and $20 for remote lots from? Nobody else in the SEC charges that.

So just to be clear:
Free parking on campus - Alabama doesn't have it; LSU does.
$20 dollar first come, first serve lots - Both have them
$40 dollar first come, first serve lots - LSU has them.

Wrong..

You need to note that at Alabama the $20 first come first serve lots are the EQUIVALENT of the LSU $40 lots.
Alabama charges nobody to walk over half a mile to the stadium.

Same thing for Alabama in 2003.
Alabama's Parking website makes it clear that there is no free parking on campus.

You can't park on Alabama's campus for free.

You can park for free less than 1/2 a mile from the stadium.

I guarantee these lots will be full for all conference games next year.

There is free parking closer.

EXACTLY!
$20 to park in lots 1/4 mile from the stadium is perfectly fair IMO.
$40 is overpriced compared to other markets in the same conference.
There would be less outrage if they would have priced it correctly.

So why would anyone park > 1/2 mile away and choose to pay $20+ then? Because they want to give money away?

Let me see. Either you got confused and thought you were still on campus or the Alabama website is lying.
I'm going with the former.

Threads like this really show how poor our fanbase is compared to other fanbases in the SEC.

No, there is a free lot less than 1/2 a mile from the stadium. You can park for absolutely nothing.
The reason people will choose the $20 is because it's around prime tailgating area.

That is residence parking and I imagine that its against the law to park there, just like LSU.
LSU's Fraternity Parking won't come with a charge next year, but you aren't supposed to park there unless you're deemed a student resident.
So congrats, you illegally parked on Alabama's campus. Point still stands - there is no free parking in Alabama's campus provided to obey traffic laws.

i asked you if the fraternity houses were on campus. i never said thats where i parked.
