Regardless of what Small and Sampah look like in practice , the reality is that neither have played a down in a game since high school. If he is smart, he uses them sparingly and only in limited situations to prevent brain overload. They have two games after UCLA they can use to give them game experience.

How the hell did you get that I thought everything E did was bad? I said I didn’t like the substitution pattern. Are you trying to argue there was not complete changes in the substitution patterns from 2018 to 2019 and again from 2019 to 2020?

We had a qb that had the light click on at the end of 2018...opens up a lot when that happens. A great qb can make a bad coach look great. See curly. Not saying Brady or e are bad...just saying Brady probably gets lot more credit than should due to burrow

Is that why Baskerville was an immediate (albeit still below average) upgrade to Clark? Pelini did them no favors, but the tackling, lack of ability to shed blocks and piss poor effort still falls on the player. If Phillips and Queen returned I promise we would not have been in the same situation

The scheme Pelini had Clark playing was the absolute worst fit for him. Baskerville absolutely fit better, no disagreement, but you out Phillips in that scheme and he looks a lot more like Clark than Baskerville while Queen would look like a better Baskerville, but still not nearly as good as he did in 19.
Pelini’s scheme always got roasted by misdirection based offenses, think Arkansas and UK while at LSU and what happened to him without Suh at Nebraska.
