It was never a talent issue last year. It was almost all scheme and coaching

Y’all really think our Lb group went from the bottom of the sec to so stacked we can start 6 people?
That’s just the koolade talking, he’d know to be more concerned if he’d put the bottle down.

The problem O is having with LB starters is because they’re all freakin good! Not the other way around. Keep up!

when Clyde hardly left the field on offense.
that was one of the statements that Kirby made about why LSU was so tough. no substitutions on offense. hard for the defense to make adjustments.
this year, not only will the coaching staff have to figure out the RB, but also the WRs that will stay on the field. Or, are they just going to ride with people for one drive at a time?
we will all be a lot smarter in the next few weeks.

Which was a staple of the Brady offense. The E offense substituted a lot. We did it in 2018 and 2020. I hated it as it gave the defense time to sub. If you’re going to use different groups, alternate series.

I'm more concerned with injuries at CB than any other position. Our top three CBs have been injured.
Not good.
Not good.

Having an elite Dline takes some pressure off our linebackers and secondary
Some? Hell, I'd say that having a dominant DLine takes the majority of the pressure off of everybody else.
Elite DLine means covers are covering for less time. We already know our corners are elite, so a QB throwing before he is fully ready will result in bad things for that offense most of the time. I'm 100% confident that Stingley and Ricks have WRs locked down 95% of the time early on. You can't expect them to cover for extended periods of time and not have a WR break free. DLine being good doesn't let that happen.
The LBs aren't as elite as our DBs, I'll give you that. But that's a credit to our DBs and not a knock on the LBs. We have two first round picks on the outside at DB. But a good DL will create those gaps for the LBs to easily fill. It's just a matter of getting LBs into the gaps and making the plays.

the fact that we have depth worries you? unbelievable
LB was extremely weak in 2020. The same guys are coming back and that can be good but it can be bad.
LB is a position of concern.

Coach O still hasn’t found his starters at linebacker, running back, kick returner and wide receivers. In 2019 it took several weeks for LSU to settle on Clyde,
Man - just be grateful there’s football at all. Enjoy life and quit trying to predict the outcome. None of us on this board are gonna change squat so quit being a whiny bitch and get on this championship run!!

The complete absence of a defensive coordinator is much more responsible than the athletes available for the position in my opinion. Time will tell.

Remember 2011? The LBs were easily the weakest part of that awesome defense, but the d-line was so awesome that it made the LBs look a lot better. We also had a unreal secondary that year as well. I'm optimistic about this year. I don't think we'll be 2011 good, but we'll be a lot better than last year!

Pretty sure RB is settled. The healthy one will play. Young guys get most of backup reps

On offense I’m more worried about Max scoring TD’s, based on how he’s practiced.
