Speaking only about baseball, every CWS winner for the last ten years has been awful the following year. LSU 24 might be the best of the bunch.

Women's gymanastics and women's basketball haven't been bad following their natties.
And I'm guessing you mean recently too? Because we reeled off 11 in a row in women's track. And back-to-back in baseball in the 90s, with the change of the wind direction the only thing keeping it from a 3-peat.

I agree. My group stayed for the whole game. By the 4th quarter there wasn’t a person within 10 rows of us. Probably 20,000 at the end, I told my buddy when we won there would be 100,000 people claiming to have been there at the end.
