I've had the awesome opportunity to play against and with Big Red, albeit in his 'old boys' days(retired players don't train regularly but often boot up and play friendly matches and tournaments).
What an awesome guy to be around on and off the pitch.
I nominated Big Red for the Best All Time Tiger on the LSU Nation Facebook group post. I believe it.

Couple of friends and former Baton Rouge Players were there last night.
Here's a pic of the group of inductees.
Big Red is the guy just under the B of "Rugby". The guy next to him is Luke Gross,6'9 forward who's often regarded as the guy Big Red Passed the torch to. Amazing players.

This message is WAY late, but I pointed out a picture of Bob to a guy that is a rugby freak in San Jose from the Gumbo (LSU Yearbook) in 1976. I dated his cousin (Gretchen) for awhile. He was a BIG dude and a warrior. I'm thrilled he got this honor.
