I bought one of these a while back, but the stripe on top was not adhered well on the back where there is a "step off". I sent it back for a full return (one of the amazon sellers). He stated all of the helmets were like this and it was a manufacturing problem.

Question: done anyone have a perfect one and where did you purchase it from?

Why do you need a helmet? Do you play on a football team?

Really guys why do some of you have to be such assholes? The guy asked a question, if you don't have an answer for him don't respond. I'm sure he collects them as do I.

I have one and it does the same thing. The way the helmet is shaped it's not exactly decal friendly. Also the decals are put on by hand which is how it's done at LSU so it's hard to get them exactly perfect. If you look closely to the players on TV they're decals aren't exactly perfect either but it's not really noticeable.

I think your helmet was fine. If you want less decal problems then maybe look into getting a more traditional helmet.

Could you cut the stripe at the "step down" and make the tape follow the contour?(Razor blade or xacto)

I have a game used one from a certain player and on that "step down" part, LSU has the decal cut so it makes a good fit and doesnt look bad. If I were you I would do the same
