I would love to see a 10-2 and think we have the talent, but to say at MINIMUM shows that you disrespect the up and coming programs in the SEC, disrespect our perennial rival in UF, and disrespect our OOC games this year. It's like the guy who said 11-1. Don't do that to our kids, seriously.

Why is it such a disservice to OUR kids to predict 10-2, while probably 99% of Alabama and Florida fans expected at least that this year and got 12-0? Believe me, I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just pointing out how far the program has fallen under current leadership. It is now unrealistic to predict 10-2 at LSU, while that and better is now reasonably EXPECTED at Alabama and Florida. What happened to us?

protesting where the program is headed didn't start doing so up until recently.

Look, it makes no sense to me for you to say you defended the program until recently, meaning last season, when we were getting creamed by Fla, Ga, Miss, were 3-5 in conference, and unranked, but now you have jumped off the bandwagon when the team has better results now than when you were on the wagon. Shoot me, but that makes no sense to me.

As to Tech, we were coming off an emotional loss and 40% of our starters on O were out. It's called a trap game and they happen all the time to lots of teams.

Now, the Old Miss ending was indeed a clusterf@@@. No way around. Chit happens and it hit us in the face that nite.

I have seen Tiger stadium when a "seachange" has occurred and that didn't happen this yr. Sorry, but discontented fans on a sports forum, some calls to radio shows, and some boo birds in full stands does not equate to a "seachange" in my book.

Label me what you wish, but I'm not going to lose my water cause we haven't won the SEC in 2 yrs and I'm not going to turn my back on 50+ wins in 5 yrs, 4-0 in bowl games with a shot at 5-0, 3 yrs ranked in the top 5, a current top 14 ranking with a shot at top 10, and a national title. I'm going to give the man the chance he has earned based on a pretty damn fine record to steady the wagon.

Hope you didn't hurt anything vital in your jump.

11-1

This thread will be in need of a serious bump the week before we play in the SECCG next season.

I'll pass until many more things are resolved and if I am alive before next season begins....

Too man variables currently exist.

Exactly. But I'm banking on the offensive staff being revamped. If it isn't, I may have to edit.

I may be in the very small minority. But I think this schedule is the easiest even numbered season schedule we've had in a long time.

Most of our tough games are at home. Florida will be in its first season without Tebow. UNC is ok, but not that great. Auburn won't be that good next season, and Arkansas is nothing without Mallett.

I reserve the right to change this prediction since we are still in season...

Losing 3 OL, right?
Top 2 RB's gone
Top WR gone, TT might hit the road.
Top TE gone.
3 DL, right? Correct me please.
3 LB's
1 CB and maybe CJ to baseball.

Lots of youth imo, but UT and Ole Miss will have youth too in our house.

NC, UF, Auby, Bama will be tough games. Arky could be if Kfed stays.

7-5, maybe 8-4 at best.

People here would rather hope for a bad season next year that'll get Miles fired than to see LSU do well and win the SEC.

That will never happen while Les Miles is coaching at LSU, especially not while Urban Meyer is coaching at Florida.

Les Miles will never beat Florida or Alabama again. Ever. Ole Miss is starting to look like a perennial loss, too, and will likely get there within the next couple of years. Arkansas probably joins the group if Petrino gets rolling and stays. Auburn and Mississippi State are the only two perennial opponents we have a prayer of keeping up with under Les Miles, and with Auburn it's just a matter of time until they overtake us.

Either there is alot of sarcasm in this post or retardation. Judging by the fricked up analogy with the weather in D.C. I would say it is retardation. Ofcourse it is going to be colder in January and February, it's called winter, it's a fact of life. Which way the LSU program is headed in the next couple of years isn't nearly as easy to predict because it is not a known fact. You never know, Miles could hire a stud O.C., or a dud. Hell Miles might take the Michigan job in the next year or two. I bet you thought we weren't going to be any good in 2003 after a 5 loss season the year before.

Why? We had a very good chance at having only one loss this year, we also could have lost a couple more games than we did. The SEC is always so close that predicting 6 losses next year could be right just as much so as 2 losses. And ya'll love to attack Les for the clock situation from the Ole Miss game but that is who he is and that is how he has been since he has been here. If you will recall the UT game after Katrina with the time out situation. And the Auburn game that we won in route to a NC in '07 same situation but it worked out for us then. Hell in '07 we won the NC with two losses but could have very easily lost 5 games that year. I guess now you are going to bring up the whole Saban players thing. And some how Saban's 5 star players were better than Mile's 5 star recruits.
