Career Receptions:
Wendell Davis - 183
Chase - 107

Career Receiving Yards:
Josh Reed - 3,001
Chase - 2,093

Career Receiving Touchdowns:
Dwayne Bowe - 26
Chase - 23

So Chase would need more than 76 catches, 908 yards, and 3 TD’s to break all three career records. This season he had 84 catches for 1,780 yards and 20 TD’s.

As far as single season records, he currently holds the TD receptions record at 20 (previous was 12), and the single season reception yards with 1,780 yards (previous record was 1,740).

Surprisingly, he doesn’t hold any single game receiving records, although he has 3 of the top 10 single game reception yards.

Which one?

I think his receptions go up from this year, if they run a similar offense. Remember, Jefferson was the actual go-to guy this year, Chase will be that guy next season.

I get the point you are trying to make, but think about what you said for a second. You are alluding to the fact that he will be the go-to guy and potentially have more receptions. If he has >84 catches next year, he will EASILY break 908+ yards.

The 76+ catches will be the one to keep an eye on. But I do agree that he might have more catches.

With 13 games minimum he can realistically get all 3.

I could see him potentially sitting out of a bowl game.

True. Maybe not a NY6 but we’ll see.

You shut your whore mouth. He's not sitting out a playoff game.

I think he easily breaks the career TD record (only needs 4) and the career yardage record. The career receptions record, probably.

I think, barring injury, he passes all three. TD and YPC come down, but receptions go up.

Are you drunk? Chase was the man this year. He was the guy we looked to first. If the defense was not giving Chase special attention - double team, deep help, bracketing - LSU threw to Chase. Almost every defense helped on Chase, which opened the field up for everyone else.

Next year, this will be even worse. I expect Chase’s receptions to go down next year substantially due to even more extra defensive attention and a less effective QB. One thing you can count on next year is that the first few teams are going to blitz the hell out of Brennan and see if they can shake him up. They will also be doubling Chase. That’s not a combination that will yield lots of receptions for Chase.

Well he did have 27 more receptions this year... I’d say Jefferson was Burrow’s favorite target.

This is retarded. They count all 15 games now but don’t count the 13th game for Josh Reed in 2001. Without going back and looking, Reed had about 1980 yards that season, so Chase doesn’t really own that record.

He’ll get the touchdown record probably by halftime of the 2nd game. Will get the yards record if he doesn’t get hurt. Don’t see him getting the catches record, though. He’s gonna be doubled a lot more without Jefferson, we probably won’t play in 15 games, and we’re almost definitely gonna run the ball more next year. He’ll have an insane YPC, but I dont think he even needs to catch that many balls for us to be good.

He also breaks the SEC career TD receptions (31) if he gets 9 next season.

Favorite? IDK, he threw to Jefferson more because that’s where the biggest mismatches were because EVERYONE WAS DOUBLING CHASE.

Disagree. He has a shot. But I expect we will run the ball more next year.

Not like Les Miles ball but more than we did this year.
