Who would you like for LSU to hire?
He doesn't have anyone in mind, just being a pain.

CP wouldn't have been the best hire a month ago in the first run of coaching changes, but that game has played out and the dust has settled. He is the best guy available who doesn't have a current job, making him much more easily attainable. I think some of you underestimate how difficult it would be to pry an employed DC away from their current gig at this point. Then you are talking about overpaying and exposing the program to embarrassing nos. This is about timing.

Clearly the best available based on what exactly? He does not have a good track record in college at all.
I'm not going to try and argue this anymore.
read some of the articles that have been posted. They shed a good light on him, maybe they leave out some key details and he isn't as good as many people say. But from what I have read he seems to be the best.

If we really want to go after coaches who have taken a year off then shite lets go get Lou Tepper he has been out of the game for 3 years now.
Pendergast could've coached, but he took off because he wanted to spend time with his dad who has Alzheimer's.

The fact the NFL teams have hired him as a consultant this season is a plus. NFL defense is all about scheme, scouting, and matchups. No one would be calling and forking over $$ if the man didn't know what he was doing. This speaks volumes to me.

Dude has nothing to add to the discussion, just questioning any move LSU makes in this search.

He didn't coach but he did spend a lot of his time studying film and helping consult in some situations. I heard he helped the skins figure out their game plan vs the cowboys. he would probably have a job if he didn't have family issues.

Can you link where you pulled these from. They vary greatly from where his teams ranked in league as it relates to points allowed.

you guys have a good night. Hopefully some things are settled tomorrow.

I think your rankings are inverted. For whatever reason they show it as #1 allowing the most points and #32 is the least points.
Posted on 1/2/15 at 11:43 pm to Brendoni
dude you have it backwards. Arizona was 4th worst in 2006.

yeah that site he's using does not lay it out very well at all.
