Are you asking me those questions or is that directed to supersaints9 or whatever his name is?
He's the one making all those claims, I'm just laughing at him saying he's not an internet badass.

This post is spot-on. Just a few years ago, incidents were reported based on (often drunk) eyewitness accounts, and Nathan Fisher would put on his bowtie in the middle of the night, go bail the perp out, and handle the media. Now, there are dozens of cell phones shooting pics and video 24/7, and the action goes viral before the school can scoop litter over it and cover up the turd. Fights happen outside these bars every single night, and have been for decades, but mix in a celebrity (like a prominent player) and it's going to make a splash.

When Hill is reinstated and the charges are dropped, what will LSU fans say then?
What will they say when he's tearing it up on the field scoring TD's and beating Bama?

Remember when an all out brawl happened at the varsity and matt Flynn was screaming at people to "bring it on"?
Remember when t-bob got a DUI and was suspended?
Remember when Travis Dickson punched that guy and laughed about it?

It's about Coach Miles, not the players.

What does that have to do with anything with what's going on with Hill?
Nothing. What some people can't seem to get over is that Miles made a coaching decision regarding the ability of Jefferson over Lee. They are more than free to argue about that call, and whether it was the right one or not...but consistently suggesting there was some conspiracy behind it forces sane people to tune them out.
Like it or not, agree with it or not, Miles determined by the end of the 2008 season that Lee terrified him under center and he was going to go with who he felt would hurt LSU the least. That, in his opinion, was clearly JJ.
As for this thing with Hill, based on how Miles has dealt with discipline problems while at LSU, I'm ok waiting to see how it plays out and I trust his decision. The guy has now twice booted a star off the team for violations when keeping him would have certainly helped the team. He's made the hard calls and if he has to do it again, I trust that he will. In the meantime I'm going to hope there is less to this story than meets the eye and hope for the best for Hill and LSU.

Please. Miles kicked Tyrann Mathieu and Jordan Jefferson off the team because he had no other choice. It came out leading up to the NFL combine that Tyrann Mathieu had failed at least 10 drug tests. The LSU Athletic Department policy is that a player is gone after THREE failed drug tests. Clearly, Miles would have let Tyrann Mathieu stay on the team but for the administration calling his hand.
As far as Jordan Jefferson goes, the guy was arrested and at the time had a potential felony pending. There is no way that guy stays on the team. Miles did what he had to do and what every other D-1 coach would have also done. The difference being is that many D-1 coaches would have permanently kicked the guy off the team with no chance to come back.
The fact remains that Les Miles has no discipline on this team. This is a hallmark of ALL Les Miles teams. Just go look at how many guys got kicked off the Oklahoma State team when Miles left there.
And I know that some of you will read this and say "But the players love Coach Miles...boo hoo..**sniffle sniffle**...wahhhhh!"
OF COURSE THEY DO! If you were a player wouldn't you love a coach that lets you do whatever the hell you want and doesn't hold you accountable for your actions until it becomes glaringly obvious or is forced by the upper adminstration to do so? I know I would.

Problem is even is charges are dropped they have video of him and the DA can still charge him. Remember he's on probabation so this will not be as easily swept under the rug.
Also if he misses this year b/c of this remember he'll be 3 years removed from High School and he'll be gone pecan.

Severely doubt he gets charged
Could he? Of course
I just don't see it happening

then why didnt the admin force Miles' hand after the 4,5,6,7,8, or 9th failed test?

yea, LSU is the only place where players smoke weed, right? You do understand that Bama just had 4 guys including 2 5 star recruits kicked off for robbery and fraud?
How would you compare a bar fight and smoking to robbery and fraud? How about Janzen Jackson and the other 3 vols that were booted for ARMED ROBBERY. What your opinion on that situation as it compares to the bar fight issues we have here?
ONOZ, Miles has superstar football players with short tempers, egos, and some even SMOKE WEED.
OOOOOONNNNNNNOOOOOZZZZZZZZZZZZ
WE ARE DOOOOOOMED.
Also thanks for reminding us Jj got kicked off the team

For one thing, it hadn't hit the papers yet. If you will recall, the Tyrann Mathieu story hit the national presswire before he was dismissed from the LSU team.

I never said that LSU is the ONLY place this sort of thing happens. The difference is the way that it is handled after it happens. I bet you that those guys will never see the team again at BAMA.

I am not sure there is a huge difference. Smoking Marijuana, whether you believe it is a moral problem or not, is still in the State of Louisiana a huge legal problem. This isn't Washington State or Colorado. As far as the bar fight goes, it wouldn't be as big of a deal if the player in question wasn't already on probation for a prior offense. That combined with the alleged video evidence and media coverage are going to make things very problematic for Mr. Hill.
Not sure how what happened at Tennessee is relevant here? But since you brought it up, I recall that Janzen Jackson was allowed to come back to the team but was still later dismissed for other reasons. I think LSU dodged a huge bullet when we didn't land Janzen Jackson as a recruit.

My point is that you know coming in that this is going to happen with a Les Miles team. He recruits and lands very talented players but he also looks the other way while some of those same players continually screw up. What are you comfortable with? If winning football games is the only thing you are worried about then you are probably okay with this sort of thing. If you care about the reputation of LSU and the stigma that this sort of thing brings with it, then you probably aren't okay with it. Your choice.

For starters, apparently Mike Gundy has at least a little more discipline than Les Miles since he kicked a number of Miles' players off the team after Les Miles left Ok. State.

So you saying Lsu has more off the field problems than other major programs such as UF, bama, Ohio state, Texas, auburn or Georgia. It happens at all major universities. You don't want to deal with players getting in trouble go root for a small school where players don't have big egos and have allways been the center of attention bc when you have always been in the spotlight then go to a major school you often feel you can get away with most things. Right or wrong that is often the mentality.

So you can point to 1 coach. Did he kick tem off from what thy did in the past for for another infraction? Tia
I guess a few years ago you would of pointed to joe paterno

Ok we get it, you don't like Miles. But clue me in again on how this is effecting the stature of the program?
