I love how Missouri is that far ahead of us. We beat them at home. You’re going to tell me they wouldn’t have also lost to Florida state? That’s the difference in our records. This committee will ALWAYS look at that loss column and rank you accordingly. This whole myth of playing big games to open the year needs to shift. You’re not rewarded if you win and you’re penalized if you lose.

I agree. Arkansas or Kentucky should’ve been in the ‘07 BCS title game. Both of them beat LSU

Texas was rewarded for beating Bama at home. We got smacked by FSU.

I agree with you but not this statement

You’re not rewarded if you win

FSU is #4 and ahead of undefeated Washington (who has a win against #5) because they beat us in the season opener

You don’t need it in the SEC or Big 10. See Michigan and UGA

The national sports media would justify the ranking further by saying Mizzou’s K-State win was better than playing & losing to FSU.

Win or lose, FSU>>>>>KSU.

But to those saying we have 0 good wins, we beat a Top 10 team at their place

You’re right the big programs with multiple high level conference games on the schedule don’t need that win as much for the rAnKiNgS but for actual team development and on field experience against legit competition, plus the team/fanbase morale, it’s huge and we have mountains of evidence for proving that. Pretty much every big opening game prior to Lambeau, then Miami and UT as a big early Sept game with Burrow.

Look at UT right now, where do you think they would be ranked if that win @bammer week 2 was instead a win by 45 against North Texas at home
