Yeah, I see a lot of the same problems with Harris that we saw with JJ.

Lot less pouty face and blaming his teammates, though.

how do you know? Because in his first season starting he was not an All-SEC?

What exactly has Harris shown to you that he will be a good one when all is said and done?

His willingness to learn, he wants to be better. He was progressing fine and then against Alabama he hit a wall. After that he started doing a lot of the same bad habits we talked about in the pre-season.
He has all the tools LSU would want in a quarterback, the only thing that can stop him from getting better is his self.

because he doesn't fit into what we do, or what cam does well

I think cam is overrated as frick and a washed up bum considering how he is fired everywhere, but even if we say he is good he hasn't worked with a qb like harris.

Well, it means the coaching staff does not know how to recruit/develop good QBs. Simple as that.

Well why don't you explain why you think he'll be better. Is it just because he'll have another year in the system? He has fundamental problems that a QB in his position just shouldn't have. All he has is a big arm. He hasn't shown ANYTHING else to inspire any confidence whatsoever that he'll improve. Some people just don't have it.

He got Dural nearly killed at ole miss, he is wildly inaccurate and has a slow throwing motion. I'm sorry i don't think Harris improves unless cam becomes 20 years younger and worth a frick again.

what do we do? Do we run a Pro-Style system, do we run a Spread?

He is mobile, he has a big arm, and he needs to work on his touch.... I think he could run a couple of different systems but he does need the coaching. This summer you will see him working with whitfield again to work on his touch and accuracy.

He was making improvements up until the Alabama game and then went into a regression. He still isn't accurate like you would want and he needs to work on his touch but his issues are correctable with proper coaching.

Uhhh . . . No.

His accuracy is spotty at best, nonexistent at worst.

And, from Bama on, his lack of confidence was definitely an issue. This is my biggest concern, that he's mind blown.

we are a power run team that runs pro sets from the iform, harris sucks out of Iform. he does his best work out of shotgun. LSU is much better off if we had kids like the ginger greg, AJ, and Coker. They are in the mold of Mett.

LSU has some hodgepodge going on where we have a shot gun qb and we want to stick him under center. We either need to move to mostly shotgun, which i think is a bad idea for goal line situations. The other option is recruit a qb that is an under center guy.

Disagree, he came out and stayed in... I think he did regress against Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss and A&M has a good pass defense (ranked 8th prior to the game I believe)

It is spotty, however, it is something that can be improved upon...

He had bad games before that, he did a good job of not turning it over for the first half of the year. Then he started to get stupid with the ball after the bama game.

the cuse game he was bad, he looked terrible vs emu.

I don't think it is all completely his fault though, he is in the wrong system and his wr's are pretty much garbage and divas.

I think Harris is more than capable of this, he had moments where he would make a throw and show he is more than capable, the issue is consistency

Harris did well from the shotgun in the hurry up offense just before half against, I think, Bama maybe. I just knew we wouldn't stay in that look though and we went right back to running into a brick wall in the 3rd qtr. Things like that are what make LSU football so frustrating to watch now. We can all see the potential, but then have to watch it get squandered due to coaching stubbornness.

He looked good mainly out of shotgun. I think some of our stupid predictability did hurt him, but I'm still not convinced he will ever be great. He might reach good but he was sold as a savior.
