Dandy Don just put up 21 reps on the bench and posted a 4.85 40 yard dash, he is next up in in the broad jump

So where are all the people that were on his nuts from the combine when he ran a 4.67?
he lost 6 lbs, that helped some. he was too fat at hte combine. he needs to be around 230, not 240.

Is our indoor just a faster track or has his training paid o
Maybe he had more time to work on his start or something like that. Lafell, Jones, and Hawkins all put up similar times to their combines. Perhaps Chuck just had a good day.
I am sure the scouts will still view him the same way as they did before. A big running back with about 4.6 speed. Which is plenty enough for big backs in the NFL.

6'0" 214 with that time could slip him into the late rounds in the draft
Wow I hope you're joking.

I think prolly both, but if the track is .1 faster or so, Trindon is gonna set a damn record. If he runs.
And whoever said McCray sneakin in late rounds, Lester I think, I just dont think so. He never hardly started for us. I just dont think it will happen. But I hope it does

I mean come on do you really think 6 pounds will take off that much time?

i know what a crazy thought huh?
a guy with good measurables that played a lot of ball @ a top program could get drafted late.

People were shaving .1 off of their 40 times last year, the track is sloooow.
It was expected that track times would improve.

Charles Scott just helped himself out a great deal with that time.

There's a difference in playing well and and watching a guy waiting for the next time he gets burned or blows a coverage. Probably a reason he was never a starter.

He wasn't even that good of a tackler, either.

I was trying to give SOME benefit of doubt, but you're right. He had a tough time tackling in space.

what do u think it was?
it was either a drop in weight or the track at LSU is fast.
but compared to all the RBs on the same surface, he was pretty slow.

He never hardly started for us.
He started 13 games over 4 years and was a 4 year letterman.
he was pretty good early on in his FR and Soph years.
he started 8 games as a JR.
kind of tailed off as a SR.
he has a lot of tape and did well at the Pro Day. I dont see why its far fetched someone takes a flier on him late in the draft.

Mostly of him chasing a receiver from behind. I will have a hard time not cringing anytime I see whoever inherited #44 come in the game expecting to smell burnt toast momentarily.
Heard he is a great guy, but he was a liability on the field.

Coleman - 4.45
Riley - 4.64 (combine)
Cutrera - 4.62

Because he isn't a good football player at all, why is that hard to understand?

quote:Well seems to me how all the others outside of Scott and Coleman had roughly the same 40 time numbers I really doubt the track was faster. If so than Jones and JoJo would have run 4.4's and Hawkins would be in the 4.3's.
what do u think it was
it was either a drop in weight or the track at LSU is fast.
Without comparing the two runs I would venture either Scott had a better start, had a good day running, or a bad day running in Indy. Seems pretty simple to me.

meh, its overblown.
like i said, teams will like what they see if they watch his early tape. combine that with what he did today, and he could get drafted late. If not, someone will give him a shot in training camp.
people said a lot of the same shite about randall gay, and ryan clark, and curtis taylor....they all got their shot either undrafted or late round and have stuck in the NFL.
sometimes a player is better in the NFL than college.
