Can the top two qbs EVER throw a ball on target? CG has constantly thrown the best balls through all videos I have seen from this year and last. On the other hand, JJ and Lee have thrown shitty balls on every video from this year and last. Just saying...

Thats bc he's the best QB on the team. Just needs some more time to mature and get ready.

I only saw two drops. John Williams dropped for sure. Shep's ball was high, but catchable, he didn't elevate a whole lot.

whether you think they are dropped balls, or bad passes, the fact remains that there is no rush and all they have to do is throw the damn ball to the receiver.

This is D-I football and if you are a scholarship QB, you have to be able to make better throws than that in PRACTICE!

I hate to see them try to throw fade routes if the short crossing route is that hard to complete with no coverege or rush

good thing it's only March

What worries me is both qb's were like 9-20 passing in the scrimmage

its march,i would feel the same if jj went 18 of 20,it means nothing.i sat in the stadium last year and watched jj complete all of his passes in pregame,it meant nothing when the game started.lets see what happens in sept.

did you catch his number? probably D. Allen, fullback. his number was 33 and he was 5th in the running rotation, but 1st of the fullbacks

I'm not commenting on the video, instead I am commenting on the comments here. Can someone tell my why you would need to "throw a wr open" when nobody is guarding him?

Like I said in another thread, you can't equate that to real-game stats. We have no idea what kind of passes those were. Miles said they were working on the long passing game--maybe all 20 passes were 20+ yards downfield. Maybe there were no swing passes to RBs to inflate stats. Or 2, 3 yard passes to sustain 1st downs. I'm not saying he was sharp--I have no idea. But that's the point--we have no idea, and to try to take anything out of the scrimmage stat only is pretty stupid.

Since everyone else covered the QB/WR vid, I'll cover the others.

RB/FB - DAllen looks trimmed down. This guy could be huge with not only blocking but he looks as natural running with that ball as the RBs do. Parsons barely fit through the ball-stripper-machine-thing.

OL - That 2nd unit looks massive. Good lawd! Shaw and Williford make an intimidating right side. They all seem to move pretty quick off the ball. Wish we got to see the 1st unit in action. Note: I didn't see Hurst anywhere in the vid.

DB - Cooper is doing a good job coaching, as it is evident in that drill. The DBs are staying low in their back pedal.

WR - What kind of drill was that? Never seen that one before and not sure what the benefit is out of it. Anyone?

Not entirely sure, but possibly just a drill for keeping balanced and pad level low coming out of cuts because every time someone would slip, they had to repeat. The WRs who did it correct were not running with their feet low to the ground or shuffling or anything

What I don't like about the situation is there's not a coach all up in that arse for dropping those passes.

ha, this reminds me of basketball practice and thinking about how funny it would be if a coach stopped practice to yell at one of us every time we missed a layup or a shot we should have made.

All passes were catchable balls, some weren't in reach of the wr, but that is from being late out of the break. The ball is going to a spot, if you take your sweet time chopping your feet, you are late to the spot and the ball looks like a bad pass.

Alot of times it's the receivers fault guys.
