State is now projected to win all their games between now and when they come to BTR which will likely put them in the Top 10. Obviously UGA and Bama are not dropping out of the Top 10 before their trips to BTR.

10/13 #2 UGA
10/20 #14 State (likely Top 10 by this time)
11/3 #1 Bama

Has any team ever played three back-to-back-to-back games against Top 10 opponents? I think the gravity of this hasn't really sunken in for most. What a murderer's row, and what an amazing slate of home football for us.

Auburn did last year: UGA, then Alabama, then UGA again in the SECCG, then UCF in the Peach Bowl.

UGA did last year too: Auburn in the SECCG, then Oklahoma in the CFP, then Alabama in the CFP.

Alabama did last year too: Auburn, then Clemson in the CFP, then UGA in the CFP

In the regular season? Not sure but I'm sure it's happened before.

I'm sure it's happened recently with the playoffs.

ESPN FPI gives State 61% chance to win that one.

Based on the ESPN projections, the only game the are predicted to lose is the Alabama game. 58% chance to beat LSU and 61% chance of beating Auburn.

Good catch, yes, I meant regular season. Championship weekend and Bowl games considered, I'm sure that happens quite a bit.

We came close in 2012. Played #10 Florida, #3 USC, #20 A&M, and #1 Alabama in a 4 game stretch (also played #22 State the week after Alabama)

The only bright spot of this schedule is that we get the big boys at home. Our Tigers took care of business on the road against Auburn, and they need to keep their foot on the gas to win all 3 or at least 2 of 3 against Bama, UGA, and Moo U.

I think Mississippi State gets a bye before they play us.

Crazy to think LSU could play 5 top 10 teams in the regular season! if they would make the sec championship and playoff could be 8 top ten teams in a year

Even if for that stretch we go 1-2, that still puts LSU at 3-2 against Top 10 teams this season. That's damn impressive.

FWIW, I think we take 2 of 3 in that stretch.

Man, that's brutal. Auburn had to play 2 national champs and one championship runner-up

I don’t think they will either. Auburn will be able to pass on State. Auburn can stop the run.

I can tell you right now, State won’t be a top ten team.
