I currently live in the same town in TN as Roovelroe though I've never met him.

Roovelroe had like 25 tackles against us (Byrd HS)in one game. Great player I think he had stenosis and had to hang it up.

I didn't follow LSU football for a few years after I left there in '87 so I had never heard of Roovelroe Swann. A few months ago I was playing golf with a local high school football coach. He saw my LSU headcover and told me there was a former LSU player from the late 80s or early 90's who was unreal his first year or so before he got hurt. He didn't know his name - just that they called him "Ro" at the pee wee football games. I couldn't figure out who he was until I posted an inquiry on TD.com. Somebody answered me in about 5 minutes. Roovelroe owns a commercial cleaning company here.

Ro was the only true freshman in SEC history to make pre-season All-SEC.

Guy was an amazing athlete that health cut short. It was an ankle/leg issue, not stenosis.

Great guy but always had issues with the Gerry curl....

His senior year in HS (1988 season) he tallied 212 tackles.
