I can't believe what I am reading on the scoreboard. I am not even an LSU fan, but I watch some of your games. It is BLATANTLY obvious that LSU went ground and pound today because teams have had great success early running on UF between the tackles. You guys didn't need to do anything else than what you did today. When UF was struggling to move the ball on your defense, why would Les and CC want to take the chance at possible self destruction with strip sacks or a possible INT or 2? The game was never in doubt for LSU from the beginning, so why do something stupid to flip momentum to the other team? A little football knowledge would go a long way for some of you on this board.

Up vote this thread.

The flow of the game dictated that Florida's offense sucked, and we didn't need to do anything stupid and just let UF milk the clock dry for us.

Nice to see us stick it to a physical team - just smash them like the old days

I don't ever see Bama or Oregon (for example) completely change their identity on offense to win a game.

the questions are valid

As an LSU fan I expect victory, we won, I am happy.

It just was a bit ugly and I don't want to see us lose our confidence passing the football.

Mett was off today... perhaps it was due to how we prepared in practice all week

There was nothing wrong, whatsoever, with the LSU offensive game plan, and most of the offense played well, especially the offensive line. They protected Mettenberger well, who hurried a few throws he didn't have to because his blocking was good.

Your OL was excellent today. Neutralized our DE's pretty well. Your OL has come a good ways since that UGA game.

Mett was off a little and the WRs dropped some passes but we beat them hands down

It was what a game plan is supposed to be,identify the defensive weakness and attack them. Identify the defensive strengths and avoid/neutralize them.

The Rant complained when we didn't run the ball well at UGA. So today, with Jarvis Landry not at full speed, and a very good UF secondary, we ran it down Florida's throat...and the Rant complains???

Idiots.

it wasn't who who we are on offense.

frankly, we looked like last year's team. That's probably scary enough for a lot of us who understand the game plan, that it was solid and worked, and are happy we won.

I'm determined to enjoy LSU football, and I know who Les Miles is by now. Man, he can make it hard!

Mett didn't look off to me. I saw a few dropped balls but they were catchable.

I am starting to understand what other fan bases mean when they talk about LSU fans. Even when LSU wins against a good defense, the fans are unhappy and bitch about 'how' they won.

UF probably prepared for the passing game all week and LSU ran the ball on them, fricking brilliant.

Florida has a good defense. The offensive gameplan was great. Anyone who actually complains about the offense today is a moron.
