The team has tons of top skill players

And the Offensive Line needs lots of iteration, development and improvement. No doubt.

But when you observe this team and roster, heading into StarkVegas...

It's clear that Max, Kiner, Bech, Boutte, Deion Smith, and Thomas Jr are the special group to maximize on-field play time.

That doesn't mean other studs don't eat.

It means this appears to be give the Tigers the best chance to perform

(Given the Offensive Line and Offensive Coordinator getting up to speed and finding their groove).

Agree? Disagree? Alternative "Best Formula's"?

Whatever adds up to a win is what I'm good with.

I think this team is starting to mix feeding the best players and everybody eats pretty well. Max has certainly improved with this from game 1. Where before he would look for the hot route or Boutte only, now he's finding Bech and Smith.

Another "best formula" would be to integrate QB running plays. I think that would help the running game a ton if the defense has to account for the QB running the ball. I've seen what looks like plenty of read plays the past 2 weeks, but the QB handed it to the RB every time.

I think we can rotate healthy rb’s and wr’s (Goodwin, D Lee, Hilton, Etc.) between drives to help get everyone ready to go, but the 5 you listed are certainly studs. We can keep them fresh after long drives but what I really don’t want to see is substitutions for healthy guys, ESPECIALLY within a series.

This is one of those years where our OC is a greater threat to our success than our players. I think Peetz is capable over time, but I think we regress going into the beginning of SEC play as the pressure will be significantly more than CM or McNeese.

Hope I am wrong.

Boutte at slot it’s Smith and Thomas and Bech at TR

Boutte at outside it’s bech at TE and Palmer at slot and Who ever opposite. Really anyone can play the opposite of boutte on the outside. Any of the WR should be able to win a One on One when Boutte is taking double or triple coverage.

Unfortunately we will not see any QB Runs until Brennan is healthy and we have more than 1 Scholly Backup QB.

Right now

Jack Bech and Deion Smith have to start

Boutte is obviously locked in.

I would love to see Brian Thomas, Malik Nabers, Palmer and Hilton get reps

To me Jaray Jenkins and his drops needs to sit

Now conversely on defense let’s just blitz our asses off and let our talented DBs do work and our DLine hold it down. What’s the worst that could happen? Blown coverages? Oh wait…

I agree with you. I think the lack of organization on the part of the defense last year is what cost us the game. Pelini had no answer for the air raid. Daronte is progressing quickly, we have some real studs on D. I think it's our game when we shut them down and we can go to work finding their weaknesses

Leadership is needed from someone. PP7 didn’t sit out his last year nor did he shy away from running that locker room.
