Would be a waste as long as Miles is still there

quote:Saban is proactive and has adapted to a more modern offense. Miles isn't even reactive. He still thinks execution is the problem and not philosophy.
Alabama has a higher paid staff than LSU and are more successful but still made a hire today. The point is how are we going to improve this year by doing the same thing.
If Miles didn't hire anyone in the offseason to fix the problem what makes you think he will hire someone now?

Wasn't Billy Gonzales hired years ago to fix the passing game?

He would have no choice to hire someone if it was mandated by the higher ups. They made the decision to keep him they must now make it work.

No, we were stupid enough to believe that he was bringing the urban Meyer offense.
In actuality, it was just another hire for Les. The "passing game coordinator " role was just in place to make it look like he was changing things.
I would bet the house that Les thinks the general public isn't on his level of football knowledge.

Miles was an Offensive Coordinator
Cameron is and was an Offensive Coordinator
Ensminger was an Offensive Coordinator
Craig was a Co-Offensive Coordinator
Grimes was a Running Game Coordinator
These were in the NFL, Auburn, Clemson, Texas A&M, etc.
You got enough Offensive Experience in Coaching and being a Coordinator. Plus these guys have been around a lot of other Coaches while Coaching.
Plus we had the Wizard when they won an NC but then they said he could not coach??? How do you go from a Wizard to not being able to Coach.

Again the point is Miles can't do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. So should't the higher ups who approved keeping Miles after the deal was done to fire him mandate a change to try to salvage a respectable season?
