I just don’t understand why aTm is ranked in the top 20. ¯\_(?)_/¯

To say LSU isn’t a blue blood is assinine. There’s more than 8 blue bloods in college football period.

Nebraska's downwards trend should open up that 8 spot pretty soon

9 is really the best we could expect. I’ve seen many “all time football program” rankings where we are in the 10-12 range.

I think it’s a pretty fair ranking.

But I’m not sure why Texas is considered a blue blood.

The Longhorns and UCLA are the 2 most underachieving programs in CFB history. Can add aTm to that list as well

LSU would have to win 2 national titles to catch up to Nebraska and even then might not be enough

4 of the 8 havent done anyrhing of note in the last 10 years. That should disqualify them. If you're going to use historic relevancexl as the criteria, Minnesota and Yale should be bluebloods.

Miami has done a lot more than anyone not named Bama thelast 35 years. It’s not about recent trends.

I guessed 7 out of 8. Nebraska has been absolute shite for so long it's easy to over look them.

I’m surprised at 9. I would have thought 10-12

How the frick Notre Dame and Michigan are still considered “blue bloods” is beyond me.

And how is Florida State a “blue blood” in anyone’s eye?

At what point does having a good program 50 years ago have relevance to program in today's era.

In the current era of college football, Nebraska’s location works against them. Once they were able to recruit effectively in the south for cultural reasons and national exposure. That is no longer the case, and they cannot pull recruits away from SEC teams like they did in their heyday.

The way Bama counts titles gives us 6. Prior to one of the games I attended in Tuscaloosa, I went with a Bama friend to the Bryant museum. They displayed a history of their opponent for that week. I noticed they credited LSU with 4 nattys. This was either in 2001 or 2003 before our 2003 title. The title years were 1908, 2 in the 30s (if I remember correctly) and of course 1958. By their count, that makes 6 for LSU. So is it 3 or 6?

I would argue about the Florida State Ranking....until 1947, it was a girl's only school...............
