Why can't LSU say no to the NIT? Will it make LSU money and will LSU be in contention for a championship that counts this season? No. So LSU shouldn't go. This team doesn't deserve another game, and if King Idiot says money is a factor for LSU athletics despite the AD making a huge surplus, then the men's basketball program shouldn't get another net penny this season.

Even if LSU hosted a game, they won't make money on it. The crowd won't be big enough to overcome the cost of opening the doors.

I've been to nearly every home game during the Johnson and Jones tenures. This team had everything to play for yesterday, but played like the season was already over. They've given me no reason to believe that they would show up to play hard in additional games. I don't believe they would turn down an NIT appearance, but I'm not encouraged to spend money to see a repeat of yesterday's debacle. NIT bid should be extra preparation for next year, but how many of these players will leave or be let go for various reasons? I'm afraid that Jones is not the long term answer as our BB coach.

I cannot tell you one team last year in the NIT no even LSU I changed the channel to cartoons the NIT is for family and friends of the players to watch .
