Obviously, I'm not an LSU fan but I wanted to get you guys' take on this team. Do you feel your guys are motivated for the bowl game against ND? Personally, I hate ND and would love for you guys to destroy them but wondering what kind of feel do you have for the Tigers in this game?

I think it being ND probably gives them motivation. If it was a Minnesota, N. Illinois, Maryland, etc. I think it would be different.

That's what I'm hoping. Besides our own games of course, this game I have circled and won't miss.

I hear their defense is pretty beat up. If weather isn't horrible, I expect to get a good offensive push. Not a lot of points, but we'll push them around.

I think he and #84 were trying to get us to bite. I think normally it would have worked but we were likely too tired at that point from you guys taking it to us on your last 2 drives.

Miles had built up a decent reputation for having his teams ready when having time to prepare for a game. LSU was on a streak for a while post-season. However this club is just too unpredictable. I think the opponent being Notre Dame might spark a little fire.

Who doesn't get up for Notre Dame?
They are then most storied team in college football. Even though their recent record is pretty dismal they are still NOTRE DAME. The national media will eat this game up.

Us if we're playing them in a Sugar Bowl that's not a National Championship game

Ours against Oklahoma and Utah were absolutely embarrassing.

That's what they'll say if we lose

Just like when LSU lost to Clemson

Like that, I'm more inclined to believe Oklahoma just took it to us for the most part but Utah loss should never have happened -- no matter how many suspended players you might have.

I have no idea how Clemson converted on 4th and forever in that game.

Well, they did and paid a good chunk of change for us to sit there in the Ga Dome and watch them go thru us like a buzz saw in the 4th qtr.

just one of those kind of games.

My old Marine Corps buddy from Baton Rouge called me after our loss to Oklahoma last year and said, "WTF?? That looked like an LSU bowl game."

Never underestimate a good team to blow it in a disappointing bowl game.

I think If this team was going to quit on the season, they would have done it against A&M. After that awful showing against Arkansas, I knew that game would tell us something. It was far from a perfect performance, but they had intensity and bounced back pretty well, all things considered.

So, if they haven't packed it in by now, I think they will come out and play hard. Playing a team with a solid name and rep helps.

I'm going if that answers your question.

For fans it's big for three reasons:

1. It's in Nashville
2. We play Notre Dame.
3. A win against a traditionally
good team will give us momentum towards recruiting, spring practice and next season.
Does our team show up and play: no one can tell with this squad. One thing is certain; a leader needs to emerge and I'm starting it on D. The offense is another mystery.

He was trying to get the Bama player that was picking up his knee to bite? If Vadal had learned how to flop like Adams, we get penalty, the automatic first down and could have run a lot more clock or been up by 7.

As to the Bowl game, it depends on how the team reacts to any QB competition in the practices. Jennings isn't playing well, but he does seem to have the team backing him. I don't think the team is divided on QB like they were in the Mulligan Bowl, but you never know.

With the proper motivation, we could win without throwing a pass.

The only motivation I have for this bowl season is if Alabama gets raped by OSU, Oregon, or FSU.

Screw the SEC and their cheating bastard HQ. I hope you get handled again like the whipping LSU put on you...but without Tom Ritter & crew bailing you out again.
