A profit on your bowl appearance and a split is better than a loss on your bowl appearance and the split.

But compared to the raise jus tMiles got, does Alleva really care about 154K?

Good, they deserve to, hope they learned a lesson. It was nice to see the Athletic Department get it stuck to them, after bending fans over as much as they do.

so you are actively rooting against the AD of the team you supposedly root for? Hey genius, where do you think the money to pay to keep a top tier FB program is going to come from?

So is Mike Slive and the SEC office going to reimburse LSU the lost revenue because they had to "protect Georgia"? LSU was locked into the Cotton Bowl after the Cap 1 grabbed Tx A&M, but then Mike Slive stepped in and LSU got shipped to the #6 SEC bowl slot.

Thanks Mike Slive. And while were at, thanks for the SEC East opponents given to the SEC West teams for 2013, totally equal!!

Obv tons of other LSU fan felt the same.

would they do the same for UGA? In Silve's defense, he did say when the next bowl contracts come up, they won't agree to buy so many tickets.

There were quite a bit of tiger fans there. But when you can get better seats at a cheaper price through alternate sites you'd be stupid not to do that.

not to mention the fact that LSU is the 4th most valuable football program in college football, having turned a $45 million profit a year ago, so yeah 154k is pretty insignificant.

Tennessee turned a greater profit than LSU the past bowl season.

It is a shame that the two schools that were sent to Atlanta both lost $$$ and neither wanted to go.

So have a lot of seats wasn't the problem, it was having a lot of crappy seats? I can see where we got screwed then.

Start a 16 team playoff. We'll make millions from home games and TV revenue and have no losses for away games. frick a bowl organizer making a profit.

Fans don't want to go to a cold destination like Atlanta on New Years Eve. Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville would have drawn a much bigger crowd of LSU fans due to the warm weather attraction.

The coaching and team doesn't show up, why should the fans? I watched and enjoyed my New Years Eve in Charleston.

So the moral of the story is, don't get selected for the chick fil a bowl and you won't lose money

The moral of the story is Alleva should have grown a set and raised hell with what the SEC allowed to happen.

Theres no easy way to do that, especially because you don't want to piss off the bowl. But dammit, the perception sure is that LSU is always the last one to get asked to the dance.

The fans werent excited, the Rant wasn't excited, and the players didn't play very excited. What do you expect?

Fans didn't show up long before the team didn't.

The fact that the game takes place on New Year's Eve, really sucks. This is the main reason that I stayed away and I know I can't be alone.

t's because our fans are smart enough to not pay face value for tickets to an exhibition game.

Especially when the shitty arse tickets through the school are in the endzones, when 50 yard line seats are going for $70 on Stubhub.
