Ok. Let’s call it what is is.

Gave an answer but LSU has absolutely told players mid season that “they won’t be seeing the field so you might want to find somewhere where you will”.

The players get nothing in return?? That is either uncorrectable stupidity or willful ignorance.

And what is this 'shite organization' you speak of? Ben spoke about all college sports, all universities and the governing board for these universities. So again.....what 'shite organization' are you speaking about?

If LSU tells a committed recruit they offered a scholarship to to “look elsewhere” then LSU is “quitting” too.

This is BS

You only get a certain number of scholarships per recruiting cycle and if you have a 2 star recruit holding an offer and a 5 star wants it he gonna get. That’s just good business that is nothing like quitting on your team. What a ridiculous statement

If you really want to bitch about that then direct your anger to the NCAA who sets those standards

I agree, but they should also call out coaches that get players to commit, and take coaching jobs at other schools/NFL. Nick Saban lied, and coaches lie every year to players.

All of college football. It makes millions off the unpaid labor of others.

Don’t give me the old “but the education” bullshite because that is NOT the same as being paid for your labor. Would you work for an employer who told you exactly when and where you could spend the money they gave you? No you would not.

Assuming this is true, which you cannot prove, LSU did not pull their scholarship MID SEASON and wave goodbye to them. If a player told a team MID SEASON, that at the end of the season they were leaving nobody, and I mean nobody, would question them. When you leave chore before fulfilling your obligation you are a quitter.

From the Merriam-Webster dicionary:

a person who gives up easily or does not have the courage or determination to finish a task.

Ben finished his junior season and went pro, he didn’t quit the team the week they played their biggest rival. Huge difference.

That’s my entire point. I’m sick of seeing these posts calling out these players for “quitting” (and I agree that that is what they are doing) yet say NOTHING about the school and coaches doing the exact same thing to committed recruits.

What’s fair is fair for all involved.
