Some of the "experts" had us still winning the west and some even going back to the NC. We have too many playmakers on offense to be this disappointing. Byrd, Lafell, Tolliver, CS, Murphy, Holliday, KW and a massively talented, veteran O-line. Any coach in the country would be drooling over the talent we have.
reminds me of another coach we used to have.......Dale Brown

it actually looks like we will lose 1 more down the stretch probably ole piss.
FWIW, unless the team decides it doens't want to play (which I seriously doubt), I predict that the Ole Miss game will not be close. LSU by at least 17.

why do you think that? I mean, we don't match up well against their O, and they have a good defense. Plus they are always fired up to play LSU. When is the last time we crushed Ole Miss?

2005 when Patrick Willis took off Justin Vincent's head. we raped them in oxfart.

Exactly. No one has any reason to think we'll destroy Ole Miss...unless it's "a feeling they have." LSU has not really dominated anyone this year (except maybe an FCS school and the worst FBS school in the nation). What makes you think we'll do it in our 10th game of the season? Against the team that beat UF at the swamp? Against a team who always plays us pretty well?
I think we can win. It's just a question of will we win?

The "backed into a national championship" crap is illogical and I am sure there are people in the national media who would be offended that you are making a blanket statement that reflects their historical perspective and general knowledge.
The reason the national championship is called "mythical" is because it is always relative to the teams that surround the champion. LSU lost two games in triple overtime last year. . .relative to the other teams that could play Ohio State LSU was deemed the best choice. History has already established that this is how it works in the BCS era. Ask any Auburn how much comparative bodies of work mean.
Heck, think about 2003 (which I am guessing is supposed to be the pinnacle from which LSU is declining). . .its very convenient to forget that that plenty of the people in the "national media" did not agree with that Sugar Bowl matchup and it wasn't Oklahoma that had the credential problem (when was the last time the AP went against the BCS?)
The BCS is a system of relativity (Auburn 2004) and perception (Auburn 2004. . .Oklahoma proved in the Orange Bowl they didn't belong on the same field with USC). No one backs into the MNC. You play your games, create the narrative that is your season, and hope you story is good enough that year to give you a chance to compete in the big game. It is what Saban the Great did in 2003 it is what every team does in the BCS era.
