My main concern with hosting a super is, will they put two super regionals in the state of Louisiana?

I do feel the seating capacity at the Box can be a huge plus for LSU.

Many states have held multiple Supers. Oregon/Oregon State last year. And not too long ago Florida/Florida State/Miami all hosted Supers. Being in the same state as ULL makes zero difference at all

It's not so much the capacity, but how many people will attend. BR regional always has the best attendance.

What does a national seed give us? Bye or something?

ETA: wiki
quote:

During team selection, eight teams are given national seeds. These teams automatically host a super regional if they advance past the regional round. As in other NCAA tournaments, conference champions (usually determined by a tournament) receive automatic bids, and the selection committee fills the remaining spots.

If it were the other way around maybe. LSU is too attractive a site to worry about 2 hosts in the state.

In the end this is still about money and a hot LSU is $$$$$$

just last week people were on here saying we wouldn't host a regional much less be a national seed

Those people are the ones I laugh at. The Debbie Downers who put a negative spin on all things LSU. If we lose a series or a few games in a row, they jump off the LSU train like rats leaving a sinking ship.

Then they come swimming back with all kind of excuses to their leaving and how they were right about everything to begin with.

Exactly.. That ish was stupid. So many saying it wasn't going to happen like matter of factly.. Way more prominent posters than him..

I'll never understand why people think things are impossible.. and then so dang sure of it. Using words like, "It won't happen"

Anyone counting out LSU baseball with our track record for SEC tournament success and winning history is clueless and should be laughed at no matter which poster they might be.

Most of the negative "prominent posters" never left.

I'll admit, I was one of those who thought no way a Super was possible. I was just going to be satisfied if we hosted a regional. I also felt they would not advance from the Regional. 2 factors...timely hitting & pitching depth. I should learn 2 things: Never count out LSU & never try to predict baseball.
