I just find it amusing that that you think you have it all figured out, as you insult residents of your homestate and pontificate on a 20-year old topic as if they are all children. in the above paragraph, i was comparing embarrassment via third party to embarrassment via third party.

reading comprehension is fundamental.
the poster's argument posited that a person can not be embarrassed because of the actions of a group they are now included, by the actions of that group's past.
by that logic, one could presumably be called stupid for being embarrassed about slavery as an american. or a current day german should not be embarrassed about the holocaust.
additionally, i've countered with pride. strangely, i never hear people disassociating with pride-filled events. like an american proud of the US winning the world wars. inventions etc.
same concepts.

It was the hot topic of the day. It all started when he said in an interveiw that he loved Brian Davis. He walked around campus holding hands with him. He slapped his arse on the court. He even bought him a car for graduation.

I am not sure why anyone believed Christian was gay ?
I have a brother who is gay and I don't have any problems with anyone who is gay.
Duke won a lot . But in the end , Shaq won NBA championships and Laettner did not. Shaq is a Hall of Famer and Christian will not be one.

I wish I could get that riled up over a game. Yes I wamted LSU to win, but remember thinking damn, they're good. I recall that Dale basically tried to get to Laettner by roughing him up, at which point he just backed up outside the line and started draining threes. It was a great game, great atmosphere, the **** and such was then as unnecessary and unimaginative as some of the rants at football games today. I can't think of many other big out of conference games since then, and maybe there is a reason why.
