Martin doesn't like playing in the post. It is VERY evident on defense, and he is better on the perimeter because of his ability to drive or knock down a shot with his sweet stroke. Mickey and Martin both aren't great offensively skilled low post players in terms of moves. JOB had moves on top of moves and power. I will always think Mickey is a garbage bucket guy and his hustle and scrappiness is his bread and butter

I probably should have said in the "paint" instead of in the "post". No, Martin isn't a traditional post player, but with his size and skill he should rarely settle for a 3. He's got the ability to drive to the bucket, and size to finish when he gets there. Mickey gets a lot of garbage buckets. But he can also knock down the 15 jumper.

Well the 5 games in 10 days is exciting. There are some pretty good teams in the Paradise Jam tournament this weekend. No great teams, but some good teams. Would love a championship matchup with Clemson.

and the fact that all but Robinson can run a single man fast break is pretty sick. AKA 4 tall athletic guys.

I know what CJJ said but the odds that Epps is at the 2 is slim to none this year. With the way Gray, Hornsby, Patterson, Tim played.. hard to imagine a non blowout time where 2 of those aren't on the court at the same time.

That being said, if LSU continues to struggle in man to man, all bets are off for LSU this season. I doubt that though since the biggest issue is the rotations that are either new (via Musselman) or you've got a majority of the minutes being learned by new players or players with new roles (3 of the 4 guards and a new wing).

I definitely don't see Epps playing 2... Just thought it was funny that he said it.

I'm watching the South Carolina vs Baylor game on ESPN right now... USC is up 2. Yay SEC!

Manhattan is beating UMASS right now.. Hoping that UMASS team overachieves some.

I agree Mickey has a sweet mid range shot, and he's very quick. I'm talking in terms of pure low block, bang it in type of offense.

That type of offense is almost as non existent as the wishbone in college football...

I usually don't get interested in BB until December, but I am really looking forward to this game and this season.

I have it on pretty good authority from another collegiate HC in Louisiana, a guy I trust, that this is the year Johnny starts building something special at LSU. Next year with Simmons should be insane.

Finals are 3 weeks away.

Also, anybody see the alley opp to tie manhattan? Crazy. I watched auburn last night. Play with a ton of energy, but very undersized and not deep. They didn't have mason who is probably their best player, but it should be a pretty long year for them

He is the one that became the first publicly "out" homosexual in college basketball.
