BATTER........AVG B4.....HITS/AB.....RBI.....AVG.....+/-
SMITH..............342...........3/12..........1........335.......-7
WATSON..........352............4/13..........3........348......-4
DUPLANTIS.....305............2/13..........0........294......-11
CABRERA.......305............3/12..........1........300.......-5
BELOSO..........286............3/11..........1........285.......-1
MATHIS...........168............1/3............0........173.......+5
REID................299............1/9............1........281......-18
BIANCO...........180............1/5............1.......182........+2
GARZA............188............3/7............1.........211.......+23
DUGAS............600..........3/10...........2.........400......-200
Only 3 Tigers saw their BA go up this weekend, Mathis (+5), Bianco (+2) & Garza (+23). Dugas hit .300 for the weekend and saw his average dip from .600 to .400 with limited ABs on the season. Watson (3) & Dugas (2) were the only Tigers with multiple RBIs vs the Tide. Broussard (0/3), DiGiacomo (0/3), Willis (0/2) & Hughes (0/1) collectively went 0/9 in the series. Broussard dropped from .219 to .212, DiGiacomo dropped from .302 to .294, Willis dropped from .227 to .217 & Hughes went from .192 to .190. Winning 2/3 over the Gumps was most fortunate based on a really lackluster offensive output this week.

It's encouraging that our catchers w
Hit .400 for the weekend. Mathis' hit was a solid rope, and Garza crushed his HR. Both good to see.

I completely agree. it seemed that bama got the bat on the ball better and more often than we did. even guys batting less than .250 were hitting it solid.
this team better improve their hitting or we're sunk. might make a regional in BR and lose it

Dugas came back after 8 weeks out
Broussard, Gio, Willis & Hughes do not get consistent at bats, I think if there were more consistency we would see better results from Broussard, Gio & eventually Willis
The 2 that are worrisome are Dups & Reid
Hopefully they can regroup with the week off

Reid is either in a slump or is still hurt. Either way, he should improve.
Don't have a clue what's wrong with Duplantis. He just doesn't seem to be his old self and seems very uncertain at the plate.

well, it also should be taken into account that bama's pitchers are....less than elite.
