Not as bad as it sounds. The entire LSU athletic department had some employees contacting HS coaches to provide them with information on camps, schedules, key dates, etc. Unfortunatley, this is not allowed by the NCAA and the LSU compliance office didn't catch it for a while.

Question.
WTF does one year probation mean? We can still play in the bowl games but the lose of scholarships and etc is what "probation" means or am I missing something?

What really sucks about all this is that LSU got no benefit whatsoever out of cheating!
For probation and a couple scholly losses, LSU could have gotten a couple sacks from Hicks, a couple QB hurries at least!
OSU and AU will probably get similar penalties, and they got BCS bowl wins to show for it. Totally unfair.

I don't think they'll get similar. And at least tOSUck didn't get a bowl win last season.

Means we need to stay extra clean for the next year. A violation will result in harsher penalties that could potentially affect bowl games, etc.
